Since it seems many of us are coming close to preparing to attempt to break down at least one of the locked doors, I find it necessary to prepare myself further and have the strength necessary to help.
As stated before, I am a dhampir. That is to say, I am half-vampire by my father. I look for any who bleed to volunteer and allow me to drink from you. The more that I have, the stronger that I will be.
With that request in place, I ask another: I want to know if anyone here has been properly ordained. I am in need of holy water.

Though I am glad you're informed about it now as well.
I shall wait for you.

[ He's learned his lesson, so he'll make his way to the room the man mentioned on two legs instead of four. All the same, he heads up quickly enough, knocking on the door a few minutes later. ]

Welcome. Garion, yes? Please, come in.

Thank you. I hope I can be of help.

I will not be upset if this does not work, but I hope that it does.
Take your time.

After a moment, he reaches his hand out, the one with the soft opalescent mark on his palm, and holds it over the water. Then he breathes in and thinks back to the moment he met Aldur, to the peace he'd felt, the love. The feeling of the Vale, and with it, the feeling of the Tree at the center of it all. He thinks of the Orb, almost like a friend to him, focuses on how it feels, the spirit, the life of it, imagines Aldur's love and attention feeding into it in a workshop not unlike his grandfather's.
He doesn't see it, but his palm begins to glow a faint, peaceful blue, illuminating the water, sinking into it.
He rarely uses his full name, feels awkward with it, as awkward as his grandfather would feel without it. But his name is Belgarion, beloved of the god Aldur, and with a Word, he wills some of that love into the cup of water with a sound like a soft bell.
Then his hand fades and he pulls it away to look at the water, eyebrows perking up as he sees that the water is still clear but now glows a faint, peaceful blue. He holds it out to Alucard. ]
Was that what you wanted?
no subject
Curiously, Alucard takes the mug and places it on a table.]
We will find out shortly.
[Without another word, Alucard dips his fingertip in--
And abruptly, it scalds and burns him, the skin of his flesh eaten away. Alucard grits his teeth and hisses, jerking his hand back. He looks at his finger, narrowing his eyes at how raw it looks.
With some concentration, it begins to heal over.]
Yes. I would say that will do nicely.
A god's pure love. This is more than I could have asked for.
no subject
Belar's teeth, what did you do that for?
[ He doesn't rush over, because he's not sure what will help: after all, he'd made the water. Would that make it worse? HE doesn't know how this all works.]
Are you all right? I know a few poultices if you need them.
[ Huff. ]
But yes. That sounds about right.
no subject
[Alucard pauses at the offer, then bows his head, respectfully.] That is kind of you to ask, but I will heal, much more quickly than you may think. This is furthest from the most painful thing I've endured.
That is... fascinating. I don't know about your god, but I've never witnessed it like this. You are a true faithful.
no subject
[ He's not dealing with the 'truly faithful' part because it's not pertinent right now, but also because it's not the way he thinks of it. Gods and him have a different sort of arrangement than most, so he's found. And with Aldur, it's especially... special.]
Why do you need something that can hurt you like that?
no subject
First, I am unfortunately in a condition where I fall asleep frequently. If I were to fall asleep during an important surgery or something just as urgent, I need a quick and sure way for me to wake. This will do it.
The second... is a measure, in case we need it against other creatures that are anything like me. Not all of them will have manners.
no subject
I've been told I'm something of a bumpkin when it comes to manners like that. Don't have any to name.
[ But that's less of an issue. ]
There are easier ways to keep you awake during something like that.
no subject
I think you underestimate how hard I sleep. But I welcome your methods, should you have any to suggest.
no subject
[ Namely, Torak. But that's not something he's going to get into easily. Instead-]
I could almost certainly keep you awake, if it came down to it. My family and I have some abilities that have proven useful over the years, to put it plainly.
[ He tips his chin towards the nearest vertical surface.]
We can test that sometime, since it won't caues you harm.
no subject
Then I would accept the test, at some point.
You know where to find me. I've no doubt it's only a matter of time until I sleep again.
no subject
[ He gestures to the room.]
Are you an early riser? I could wake you up some morning before you'd usually be up.
no subject
I wish I could give you an exact time.
no subject
[ Hmph.]
The next time you need to stay awake. Let me try before you go dousing your hand in that stuff.

There are so few who care for the presence of a vampire, half-breed or otherwise.
no subject
[ He doesn't. Never heard of them.]
But anyone who'd be worried after the people he's attempting to help with a surgery is probably worth worrying over in turn.
no subject
A friend suggested I arrange a document summarizing. I'll send it to you.
[Aaaand boop, he drops that into Garion's inbox.]

...why would you 'sparkle'?
