That last part wasn't very worrying, and might actually be helpful. If it wasn't for the total isolation in it. As antisocial as he was, One's mental state was tied to not being completely alone, since he was part of a vast collective once. In fact, that's why he has made use of this communicator; in order to find other sentients. ]
