The more of the station we unlock, the more there is to do. It seems wise to sit down together and figure out just what those things are, and how best to achieve them, if even for no other than reasons than expedience and safety. To that end, I'm proposing a station-wide meeting.
Where: The Bridge
When: 0900
What: Station Agenda
Including:
- The Hangar
- The Drive
- The construction of a coherent set of rules that govern what influence the station has on us
- Public Clue Listing
- The Library
- Accessing 7
- Station Population
- Station Emergency Procedures
- Volunteered Abilities Listing
If you've got information, or even just questions or concerns, you're encouraged to attend and share. If you let me know, I'll set a list for organization's sake. If you just want to come and listen and see if your skills might be of use somewhere, you're also encouraged to attend.
We're all in this together, let's try and keep it that way.
I'll update this post as information comes in.
[OOC: Despite the time given here, I won't be posting the in-character follow-up today or tomorrow. I'm looking to do it later this week/early next week to give everyone time to react to this if they'd like. Have at thee.]

Something for the list: I've been talking to a few people about the fact that we don't know how many space suits we have. Hell, we don't even know how many of us are on-board. People vanish and then new people appear, it's hard to keep track. For those of us who can't survive in space, making sure they've all got access to a space suit each is pretty important. I know our resident Space Crew (you know who I mean) seem to think that the life support is OK for now but maybe let's not rest on our laurels, you know? I'd feel a lot better if I knew everyone on here had quick access to a space suit if something should happen.
And if we don't have enough suits... time to figure out who gets the priority, I guess. Not a pretty conversation.
Sorry, no idea how to sum that up as a bullet point. 'Space suits / head count'?

So Station Population and - Station Emergency Procedures? Why don't we fold the suit tracking into a general discussion on emergency reaction? Even if we have enough suits, it won't do much if someone doesn't know where they're kept or how to use them.
[If not for the incident with the gravity before, Mike himself wouldn't.]

In all honesty, I don't trust this station not to dump us all out in space at a moment's notice just because it feels like it. So I think a little preparedness would go a long way.

I'll give you the hair, but the rest you can say to my face, firefly.
Something to think about - monthly lessons? Sweep up any newcomers or those who might want refreshers. Magboots, the suits, gravity sickness, whatever else someone should know to pass Space 101.

I like that. Bring people up to speed on some of the weirder aspects of life on board. Maybe we could add in a few bits about why punching walls isn't a good idea? Things like that.

You know where to find me.
Exactly. Anything we think pertinent. I'll add the idea to the list.

I still don't really understand how that's working. Not really sure I even want to know. Am not surprised to see you volunteered though.
[Some people would have big words here. Poetic, beautiful. The right things. The kind of things Tom was always so good at, without even trying.
Mike isn't Tom.]
You die down there, I'll count that as you losing the match.
[So don't.]

I don't know when we're leaving but I'm hoping I won't miss the meeting. If I do, try and keep the station in one piece, won't you?

Good luck, Apollo. See you when you get back.
