I find myself in need of some services.

I am in need of several people to help achieve a personal project of mine. I've recently become acquainted with some of the works in the library that is new to me, but perhaps old to you. The Much Ado About Nothing play from William Shakespeare.

I need fairly convincing actors, and those with an artistic touch to set a stage.

I am open to discussion. I would like to do this fairly soon, perhaps in a week.

[Alucard stares for a long, hard moment, debating to himself. Ideally, he'd be taking a more professional approach, to completely sweep Minato off his feet.

That would be impossible, though. This entire affair is already flawed. And, if nothing else, it is indeed a comedy.]

I think that perhaps my end goal will be successful, regardless of how detailed or well put together this play will be. I don't want to wait, lest this station seeks to curse us once again.

[At the sound of footsteps in the hallway, Connor perked up a little, focusing on the door and tilting his head. His gaze immediately fell to the glass of thirium and he gave Alucard a small, pleasantly surprised smile.]

You are correct. My system contains optimal levels of thirium. But, unlike organic substances, thirium does not decay. I'll have to find a more suitable container, however. When exposed to the atmosphere thirium will slowly evaporate if it's not kept in a sealed container.

[He stands and takes the glass carefully, setting it down on one of the side tables in the small quarters.]

You... had something you needed to discuss?

If needed, I can always stop by the clinic to help you find something.

[Right. This discussion.

Alucard's expression settles calmly, and he takes a knee down before Connor. To him, it feels natural to do; as if to make up for his father's manners, he's been raised as a gentleman. He reaches out, taking Connor's hand.]

I did not wish to rush into this for you, with all that is happening. [And honestly, taking in consideration to Connor's own development.] I also would not lie to you.

I am requesting help with this play as... a date with Minato. [The word date is still new to him.] I want to give him as many happy memories as possible. However, I know that to tell you that, I owe you another explanation.

I am ... incredibly fond of you, Connor. I value you beyond being a machine. I cannot think of you as such, though I'm certain that much is obvious. What I give to him, I would also give to you; Minato is aware of how I feel, and has not discouraged me from following my heart.

I would also court you, if you would have me. [Alucard tips his head down.] However, I would not ask you to do what you think would bring my approval, but what you want of me. If it is friendship and only that, I will absolutely respect it.

For Minato-san, huh?

[ There is a faint giggle. A happy one. ] I think he will love it.

["This"... Connor wasn't sure he knew what 'this' was, or what Alucard thought he was rushing.

His expression doesn't change when Alucard drops the bomb about the date. He doesn't feel jealous. He mostly just feels confused as to why Alucard is telling him this. Did he not want Connor to help with this play because he thought there might be some sort of conflict?

His LED spun and flickered yellow as he processed what Alucard was telling him, unsure how he was meant to react. His programming really didn't cover this.]

You... want to date me? [He blinked a few times, LED still yellow and flickering.] ... I... I'm not sure what to say. This is... unexpected.

I will have to become ... adjusted to that term, but yes. I would like that, if you want it also.

[Perhaps it was too soon -- or perhaps it simply isn't meant to happen at all. Even if that is true, he knows that Connor is alive. That, he would support first.]

What do you want to happen, Connor?

Dare I ask what occurred between the two of you?

I am hoping that he will. This place is-- it could use something. Pleasant. Better memories.

[Rolls his eyes, but he doesn't quite hide his smile.]
