so, i can't be the only one wondering where our stuff is, right? because i don't know about you guys but i don't usually use a jumpsuit as pajamas, even if i'm taking an impromptu space nap. and even though i'm trying super hard not to think about someone playing nasa barbie while i was unconscious, i can't help but want to know what they've done with everything else.

( Her stele is the thing she's most eager to get back, if she's honest. But she'd take her knife too. Hell, even her actual underwear. )

has anyone come across a closet? or like, a sinister collection of momentos.

[ Apollo turns at the voice, throwing Clary a bright smile as she approaches. ]

Oh, just Apollo. Apollo-two makes me sound like my dad.

[ Haha, jokes! Apollo doesn't know his dad!! He extends a warm hand towards her with an easy grin. ]

Hi. 'Fairchild', right?

( She shakes his hand, feeling suddenly much more at ease. )

Yeah, well. Clary. Clary Fairchild.

( With a grin. )

It is super hard to keep track of everyone's usernames around here. Some of them just go over my head.

Oh, tell me about it. [ Apollo laughs, almost relieved that somebody else is finding it as difficult as he is. ] Especially when some people pick really strange ones. I mean, 'Gallows Calibrator'? Weird.

[ no offence, Terezi!!!! ]

But it's nice to meet you, Clary.

Someone's trying to vie for the position of President Edgelord.

( FUll offense, Terezi. What the heck. )

You too. ( Because she's all about making friends on this weird little station. Clary definitely seems more at ease when she gets to meet people in person, and now she's all smiles, her hands in her jumpsuit pockets. ) So, I'm ready. Dazzle me.

( It's 2007, y'all. )

[ Dazzle me. Apollo grins widely at that, backing away to give them both a little space. And a little distance, considering that Apollo doesn't just bring light - he brings heat. Packs it, if you will. ]

Okay. But you have to remember, I did tell you to bring sunglasses...

[ He starts gentle, of course, not having any way to know who or what Clary is. An outstretched hand glows brighter than a bulb, even if a bulb were the size of a superhero's fist. The heat is gentle but palpable, rolling off in a steady wave that fills the whole room with summer sunlight. ]

Oh, you're hot!

( Which, great. That's exactly how she should have phrased it. Clary's beaming grin maybe gets a little embarrassed at that, but she's too busy being marvelled. )

I can do something like that. With a rune.

( A pause. )

Or I used to. You're not a Shadowhunter, right?

[ Apollo has literally zero idea what a Shadowhunter is. He shrugs in reply. ]

Don't think so. I'm pretty sure I'm the opposite of shadow-anything.

[ He cants his head curiously, dropping his illuminated hand a fraction. ]

Runes?

( She's tugging her sleeve up without thinking. Her skin is white, unmarked and Clary blows out a breath, half a laugh. )

Sorry, I keep forgetting I don't have my stele on this ship.

( It feels like part of her is missing, every time she remembers it. ) I can use runes. Because of my Shadowhunter blood. I need something to ignite it though, and unfortunately I didn't get to pack before coming on this terrible vacation. But the sunlight rune kind of does that. More of a beam though. So you're the whole deal, I'm a ray.

( A grin. )

I can't believe you've not got a long list of people following you around with that power.

[ Stele. That's a word he hasn't heard before. Apollo cants his head quizzically, solar flare diffusing slightly as he throws Clary a puzzled look. He listens to her explanation and he's pretty sure it sounds like magic, or something like it at least. ]

It might turn up, [ He replies helpfully. ] God knows, weirder things have been teleported on board so far.

[ Somehow. It's still a complete mystery how that keeps happening. ]

God, don't say that too loudly. You'll give everyone ideas. [ He snaps of the glow with a clench of his fist, leaving his perfectly normal outstretched hand. It isn't even smouldering. ]

Sun-worshippers get a bit weird around me. Anything for a California tan...

( She taps the side of her nose, offering the smallest of smiles as she does so. Apollo's power may be different than her own, but it's something of a relief anyway. Not that she expects to find demon's in space.

Then again, she didn't expect to find herself in space. )

I promise to only harass you if I start to develop rickets. That's a sun thing, isn't it? ( She actually has no idea, oops. )
