I haven't been awake long, but I've been trying to read up on what I can, so a couple of quick questions:
Thanks.
1. Anyone managed to get past one of the locked doors yet? Either with force or another way. I know people were trying, but I haven't heard if anyone's succeeded.
2. I was told something about an organic humanoid capable of exiting the station without protective gear. If so, I'd love to talk to you.
3. Other Force-sensitives, I'd appreciate if we established ROEs immediately.
Thanks.

[ he curls his fingers together in his lap, ankles crossing where they dangle. ]
I think you could have benefit from a much broader perspective than the Jedi's, and it doesn't really sound like any were available.
no subject
Perhaps. [ he weighs what Revan has said, turns it over in his mind and appraises it from every possible angle, before deciding it's something he can let stand. ]
I have little interest in picking fights, but neither will I suffer any threat to my welfare.

[ he doesn't know the entire situation, of course, but ren's no sith. he's not sure yet why exactly he and his uncle parted ways, though if it's for the reasons he thinks, well.. it's the sort of thinking on his uncle's part that no longer truly has a place in the galaxy they live in. ]

Do you often spout philosophical rhetoric to those you've just met? [ safer to turn the conversation back onto stable ground, far away from him and from his past. ]
no subject
Who better? Bastila mostly tunes me out these days, and I haven't really spoken to our other friends in a while.
no subject
Are you that starved for good conversation in your time? [ he asks, like they hadn't been arguing about carnivorous snails an hour ago. ]

[ the only thing in his voice and glance is amusement, though. it's a fair accusation, really, and not that far off the mark. revan feels out of place out among a population that has no idea who he is and what he's done, as if he's deceiving them, so it's not as if he can enjoy an anonymous bar. his friends have scattered, the jedi are not an option, and things with bastila are..
well. he's been trying not to examine that too closely. he'd loved her as a simple republic soldier, as a jedi with a false name. as revan, knowing what was done to him, her part in it, his feelings are.. complicated. ]
Besides, it's that or brood over our situation, and that's not going to help anyone right now.

Less fond of the humidity, but then I tend to wear more layers.
no subject
[ the layers comment earns a slightly interested tilt of his head. ] Do you? [ he glances down at his jumpsuit, plucking at it with thumb and forefinger as the bottle lifts into the air to pour for both of them again. ] I have to admit, this isn't exactly my style. [ not that he much has a sense of style beyond 'not jumpsuits'. ]
no subject
head tilting, he watches as the bottle pours and wonders what it must have been like to live in a time where such displays were almost commonplace. ]

I don't remember now why I chose the clothing I wore as Darth Revan. [ he's seen the holos, though. ] Perhaps for the effect. The more people feared me, the less likely they were to fight me. [ he glances to ren as he lifts his glass once more, rolling it lightly between his palms as the alcohol sloshes gently inside.
for a moment more he's quiet, considering his comment, glance dropping to the long hands. ] .. Maybe we can find a pair of gloves somewhere that will fit you.
no subject
a flicker of something -- surprise, perhaps -- before it's viciously throttled. he hadn't expected to be so easily read. ]
I'll manage. [ there had been an idle hope that perhaps he'd glean some insight into this place, catch whatever lingering impressions there was to be found. no such luck, however, and if anything the station appears to have grown wise to him and his particular kind of perception, hovering perpetually at the edges. ]
no subject
[ it has less, then, to do with reading ren than simply making an educated guess based on his comment. that, and he knows force-sensitives. sometimes their abilities can make contact with bare skin.. difficult. even revan has days where he doesn't want to be around others, doesn't want to be touched, struggles with his connection to bastila. and there's a.. distance to ren. ]
no subject
truthfully, so much of this conversation is strange. acceptance is not something he's accustomed to ㅡ being offered it readily, with no strings attached, feels like a trick at best and a trap at worst.
he changes the subject: ] What level are you on?
no subject
Mm. Four. [ he rests the rim against his lower lip for a thoughtful moment, narrow shoulders lifting in a shrug. ] More or less. [ he hasn't actually slept yet. ]
no subject
given that most seem to have settled in the first rooms they encounteredㅡor, more accurately, the first rooms their devices had synched withㅡhe assumes this means Revan would have woken somewhere on the fourth floor. ]
no subject
[ it begs the question of where has revan been, of course, but that's probably not difficult to guess. he's been all over the station, everywhere he could access.
he tips the glass slightly toward the other man, then, brows lifting. ] I don't have much reason to be in my quarters. I don't sleep much. [ the nightmares can be problematic, especially on a space station, which can be damaged if his dreams are.. violent. ]
no subject
it shouldn't be so surprising, perhaps, to find someone else that struggles with sleep. the Dark exacted a high price, and evidently even those that turned from its path were not left unscathed. ]
no subject
[ sometimes his sleep is entirely dreamless like that, but more often it's just.. less disturbing. ]
Bastila spars with me occasionally at home. Otherwise I keep busy with other things.

There's a Fitness Area on the fourth deck; adequate even if I wouldn't advise using the pool. [ there'd been some chatter about fixing it but given the astounding lack of familiarity most people seem to have with space travel (much less stations) he was bracing himself for disappointment, at best, and a migration to one of the upper floors at worse. ]
no subject
[ the mention of a fitness area earns a small nod, though. ] I've been in it. I haven't spent much time there yet, though.. too busy trying to mentally map the rest of the station.
no subject
Probably worth changing given we have no idea how long we'll be here and the station doesn't appear to be at the level of technology we've been accustomed to. There was a post on the network. [ useful information. ]
no subject
--Do you spend much time there, then? [ his expression is genuinely, cautiously interested. no offense meant to bastila, but he thinks ren might be more of a challenge on the mats if he cares to go a few rounds sometime. ]
no subject
I do. [ has yet to establish a fixed routine but especially after Amos' post he will be making the gym a regular fixture. ] My room is on the fourth floor as well, though I prefer the Observation Deck.
