I haven't been awake long, but I've been trying to read up on what I can, so a couple of quick questions:

1. Anyone managed to get past one of the locked doors yet? Either with force or another way. I know people were trying, but I haven't heard if anyone's succeeded.
2. I was told something about an organic humanoid capable of exiting the station without protective gear. If so, I'd love to talk to you.
3. Other Force-sensitives, I'd appreciate if we established ROEs immediately.

I haven't seen you, [ which is to say, guess that makes them neighbors. awkward.

given that most seem to have settled in the first rooms they encounteredㅡor, more accurately, the first rooms their devices had synched withㅡhe assumes this means Revan would have woken somewhere on the fourth floor. ]

I haven't been here long, and I haven't spent much time on level four.

[ it begs the question of where has revan been, of course, but that's probably not difficult to guess. he's been all over the station, everywhere he could access.

he tips the glass slightly toward the other man, then, brows lifting. ] I don't have much reason to be in my quarters. I don't sleep much. [ the nightmares can be problematic, especially on a space station, which can be damaged if his dreams are.. violent. ]

Does the drinking help? [ genuine curiosity edged with that perpetual wariness.

it shouldn't be so surprising, perhaps, to find someone else that struggles with sleep. the Dark exacted a high price, and evidently even those that turned from its path were not left unscathed. ]

[warcried]

No. [ he rests the glass on his knee, thumbnail tapping the rim. ] Nothing really helps except exhaustion. When I've been up long enough, when I've worn myself out-- That sort of thing.

[ sometimes his sleep is entirely dreamless like that, but more often it's just.. less disturbing. ]

Bastila spars with me occasionally at home. Otherwise I keep busy with other things.

I hear meditation is all the rage, [ he says, and if it feels a little like gallows humor that's because it's exactly what it is. ]

There's a Fitness Area on the fourth deck; adequate even if I wouldn't advise using the pool. [ there'd been some chatter about fixing it but given the astounding lack of familiarity most people seem to have with space travel (much less stations) he was bracing himself for disappointment, at best, and a migration to one of the upper floors at worse. ]

[ he gives him a flat look at the mention of meditation. ] I've had enough meditation for six lifetimes. I only resort to it when I really don't have a choice. [ his lips twitch upward faintly. ] I did my Jedi training the second time around mostly through meditation. It was terrible.

[ the mention of a fitness area earns a small nod, though. ] I've been in it. I haven't spent much time there yet, though.. too busy trying to mentally map the rest of the station.

So, you couldn't-- [ a wiggle of his fingers; tipping his hand, perhaps, but then Revan has to go and be so frustratingly astute. ]

Probably worth changing given we have no idea how long we'll be here and the station doesn't appear to be at the level of technology we've been accustomed to. There was a post on the network. [ useful information. ]

[ the gesture earns a curious look, but then he shakes his head. ] On the whole, no, though the way I learn languages these days isn't so different. [ a beat, glance dropping to ren's fingers, then flicking back up to his eyes. ] It's not one of the skills I'm especially gifted in. [ and in his experience, it's one of those few abilities that become harder and harder to turn off if you use it regularly. perhaps that's part of why ren prefers barriers between he and the rest of the galaxy-- he no longer can. ]

--Do you spend much time there, then? [ his expression is genuinely, cautiously interested. no offense meant to bastila, but he thinks ren might be more of a challenge on the mats if he cares to go a few rounds sometime. ]

[ a soft, considering noise -- he doesn't expand further. ]

I do. [ has yet to establish a fixed routine but especially after Amos' post he will be making the gym a regular fixture. ] My room is on the fourth floor as well, though I prefer the Observation Deck.

[warcried]

[ hm. he thinks he might be right about ren after all, at least to some extent. gloves for him need to be a priority, then. ]

Why is that? [ one place on the station is the same as any other place, as far as revan is concerned. they're all noisy somehow-- though at least it isn't coruscant. ]

[warfares]

Space is vast without being consuming. [ something familiar, even when the stars were not his stars. ]

And people tend not to have the most riveting thoughts.

[warcried]

[ there's a pause, then faint warmth flickers into his eyes. ] I suppose you're right about that. [ space itself can be.. peaceful almost. ]

--It's all just.. noise. [ one meter or a thousand, it's all jumbled up white noise unless he focuses specifically on one voice in the crowd. ]

[ all the more reason to get off this heap, he thinks. fingers tapping out an uneven beat against the bar, like he is debating something with himself. ] There's meant to be a library somewhere.
