[ What up Reverie Terminal, it's your glowy superdad back on the network again. Apollo is looking pensive today and not quite his usual sunny self. Next to him is someone who's making his first public appearance: Kaldur'ahm faces the camera, gills at his neck clearly visible, a reserved smile on his face. He gives a nod. ]

As you all know, several areas of the station remain inaccessible to us. I believe several people have been talking about ways to open them or attempting to do so already. Brute force may be a means to gain access to a central command deck or something similar. If enough of us work together, especially those of us stronger or superpowered, we may be able to get through.

[ Here, he glances at Apollo, who adds after a beat: ]

Dirk raised a good point: what if those doors have been locked off for a good reason? What if there's something on the other side that needs to be locked away like, I don't know, a pathogen? Or whatever it is that's wiped out the original station crew?

[ Apollo lifts a hand, as if to stem an imaginary silent protest: ]

I'm not saying we shouldn't still give it a go, because after that video Henryk received it's been made pretty clear to us that we need to get off this ship as soon as possible. But it's something we should maybe be prepared for.

So what we're asking is whether or not there's anyone out there who's good at forcefields? Or might have some insight in to how we should tackle this? Just in case we open a door and, uh. Regret it.

[ Apollo frowns a little, determination replacing the pensive expression from before. ]

So there you have it. I know Amos has some good ideas about creating an airlock in case we open a door to an unpressurised deck. But has anyone else got any ideas? [ to which Kaldur adds: ] We would welcome your thoughts and input.

What about concentrating on doors in areas that can be sealed off?

We might need to ask people to evacuate one of the habitat rings, or part of one, but there are enough closing doors that it might be possible to enter a portion of the station, seal it behind you, and then treat it as quarantined for a period of time.

Sealing areas off is a good plan. Also in light of the fact that we might open a door to an unpressurised area. But keeping it quarantined may help with possible contaminants as well.

Do you have experience with quarantine protocols?

[veristitalian]

I don't. I can infer some basic precautions, but I have nothing like experience. I'd suggest you recruit someone who does if there is such a person on board.

It seems like you have many people prepared to join you on the trip through the door. As much as I'd like to do the same, perhaps it'd be most useful if I monitored through an open feed from the outside?

[In case they all die violently, she doesn't say.]

Having someone monitor communications would be very useful.

I'm Jasnah.

[She figures she should say, if she's going to be in on this, even in a remote capacity.]

Have you discussed which door you might begin with?

Truly, it was Apollo's idea.

When I first arrived here, I was walking with a young woman, and we came across a ladder leading to a level I hadn't been able to access yet. Up there, there was a room that looked different from the others. It had a glass panel on the door, and through it you could see another window, and a collection of seats arranged around- consoles, machinery?

It looked to me like a group of work stations.

[aequoreal]

Do you think you could find it again?

[veristitalian]

I can take you to the area where it was, but I think it might be behind a door that has since closed.

[aequoreal]

It would still be a great help.

[veristitalian]

Are you available now?

The closest landmark is the meal hall.

I can meet you there.

[She disconnects, and goes to wait in the prescribed place.

She hasn't given him a way to identify her, except hopefully he'll see the serious looking woman waiting patiently.]

( there is really only one person who looks like they're waiting for someone else and that's her, so he approaches her. )

Jasnah? I am Kaldur'ahm.

[She greets him, with an elegant nod.]

I appreciate that you are willing to.

( he returns the nod, offering a slight smile. his manner of speech is measured, as are his movements. )

[veristitalian]

[They share a reserved quality that puts her immediately at ease. Jasnah is from an royal family on an alien planet; people here strike her as dreadfully forward. It's a pleasure to simply acknowledge him with another dip of her head, and turn to lead the way towards the place where Hermione found the ladder.]

I'd like a proper map of this place.

[aequoreal]

Perhaps that should be another project.

( he follows, no move for further proximity between them, his hands loosely clasped behind his back. he's the protege of a kind, or he was. the sidekick, once upon a time. the king and queen of atlantis are less reserved than kaldur. )

[veristitalian]

The obstacle is writing materials. I have only a notebook, and not one I'd like to surrender to the effort.

[She admits, while she leads the way.]

Perhaps these devices could be used for it. ( he lifts his communicator. they have the ability to record and share information on the network, don't they? why not for this. )

[veristitalian]

It might be possible. I wish I were capable, but it's not a technology I'm familiar with. My world doesn't use electricity, and we communicate by spanreed rather than network.

[So she won't be the one to find that kind of capability in the softward.]

[aequoreal]

I am not an expert when it comes to this, either. ( he misses nightwing. ) But perhaps there is someone who can help.

[veristitalian]

Some people do seem more familiar with the system than others. I know a young woman who has taken to it capably; I'll ask her what she thinks is possible.
