I'm afraid I don't know what an mp3 player is. Describe it to me.

An mp3 player is a device that lets you play music. It has a small screen that tells you what song is playing and some buttons to control things like volume, skipping tracks, pause/play, stuff like that. Mine is a tube shape hanging on a lanyard.

Fascinating what becomes invented eventually, but more efficient than what is available where I'm from.

Yes. They were not there before, then they appeared. I could not tell you how; mine were not small items.

No problem. My taste in music may or may not suit your fancy, though — it seems to be hit or miss with most people.

That is possible, but I still look forward to hearing what the future's music might be like.

Are there many people here from a time period like yours?

I'm not certain. I don't think so.

Everything and everyone seems more advanced, truthfully. It does not bother me; it is an opportunity to learn.

Most of the stuff around here is even advanced for me, for what it's worth.

That's a good way to view it, though.

It seems a divide in the populace here, but there is some comfort in knowing I'm not alone in that.

I was raised in a place where we had the most advanced technology in the world. I was always eager to learn more, to build. Here, there are things I'd not thought were possible for sometime. In that way, I'm glad to learn.

Though the circumstances are quite inconvenient. To many of us, undoubtedly.

I'm a well of useless knowledge.

[He'd never been much of a motivated student though, up until he needed to get his grades higher to impress a friend so he could strengthen his abilities.]

Inconvenient, but could be worse, I guess. Do you miss where you lived?

Every bit of knowledge is useful in its own way. If nothing else, at least entertaining.

...That is difficult to say. I don't know that I miss it terribly, but I know I must return as quickly as I can.

A fair point. I'm also under the impression that there are others from alternate realities here.

I pray whatever happened didn't affect everything. We won't know until we manage to obtain more clues.
