[Wracking his brain to remember what a phonograph is like... good thing he's a well of useless, random knowledge.]
It's alright, I don't mind explaining. With an mp3 player, you can upload the music onto it from a computer electronically, rather than having an actual physical record you play it from. So, you can have a lot of different kinds of music from all different sorts of places rather than being stuck listening to just one album at a time.
Oh, how convenient! Now I want one of my own. Phonographs are nice, but they aren't exactly portable. I'll make sure to keep an eye our for it — IF you let me try it out!
[As far as he's aware, he has no use for an Evoker anymore, so he doesn't even take that into account as something to look for. The clothes he'd been wearing, his school uniform? Who cares. People, though... he hadn't even considered the idea that maybe someone he knew might be here. It felt impossible, improbable, and would probably make for a vaguely awkward reunion, now that he thinks about it...]
I didn't consider that. I suppose that should've been my first question to ask the network rather than concern over personal belongings.
If anyone is from Iwatodai, Japan or knows what SEES means, feel free to contact me.
Okay. I think you will find several people from Japan here. Unfortunately, I am European. There are some that are not from Earth, too. I'm still wrapping my head around that, but I've heard of stranger things!
[And experienced stranger things... basically all of his relatives had branded him a Weird Troubled Kid for asking them about what the "extra hour of the day full of blood and coffins" was until he'd learned to keep his mouth shut, and learning what it really was he'd been experiencing only set him on the road to even more weird things.]
I hail from France, but I have lived in several European countries over the years. I served as head maid in several households. Unfortunately, I never picked up much about Japan — I was born before the start of the Nanban trade period. Forgive me for my ignorance!
[ she'd recently learned this term from the world history book she had found the other day. it was already coming in handy for speaking with modern inhabitants of earth! ]
I have a friend from France, but he never told me about it much, since he was so obsessed with Japan. I can actually speak a little, but not well enough to not embarrass myself.
[And certainly not as well as Mitsuru-senpai, let alone Bebe.]
Don't worry about feeling ignorant, though. There are a lot of things here that are even new for me, so we're all in a similar boat of learning new things.
let's ignore that i sent this tag under the completely wrong journal
I'm not sure how you'd even be able to tell if someone was or not, without having to dig into world history extensively. Local phenomena might not be widely enough known to help differentiate between different versions of worlds.
Merci beaucoup, Giselle. I will try my best to do likewise.

Does that make sense?

The mp3 player is a cylinder shape and on a lanyard, I assume the headphones will probably be attached if you find them.

I'll let you know if I find it, Giselle.
[Is that her real name or a handle like his, he vaguely wonders... doesn't matter, really.]

[ she still thinks lapis's name is pierre.. she will believe any username. ]
Are there any other items that were on you when you showed up? Or any people you'll be looking for, for that matter?

Well, we can learn together then. I'm not sure there's much I can teach you, but I will do my best nevertheless.
