CW: CHARACTER DEATH
[ The woman in the video is in her 30s, her distinctive hair loose around her shoulders, the white stripes making her pale skin quite noticeable. She shifts nervously as the message begins to broadcast, her expression uneasy while her eyes don't quite focus on the camera. Sure, she's looking in that general direction, she's just... not actually seeing anything. After a few moments, she finally speaks, southern drawl thick with nerves that make the words waver slightly. ]
Has anyone... Has anyone died recently? Here, on the station?
[ A pause. ]
Has anyone else died and woken up again?

[ But he's not going to push her to talk about it if she doesn't want to. ]

[ Coming back blind is pretty worrying, too, but then Steve's still opperating on the assumption that this place is one giant mind game. ]
Would you mind telling me how it happened?

I was in the gym when we lost gravity. Something happened and I-- I couldn't move, and I'd been running, so my boots weren't on. I ran into the pool water and, well, drowned.

I'm sorry. If there's anything I can do to help you out, please let me know.

Thank you, sugar. I think the only thing anyone can do now is keep a blind lady company, but don't worry, I've got a bunch of people already signed up for that job.
[ A 'bunch' may be an exaggeration, but she doesn't want to force anyone into spending time with her. Guilt can do that to people. ]

[ He hopes it's clear that this isn't an offer given out of obligation. He really wouldn't mind spending time with her if it helped her. Truthfully, he finds himself feeling a little useless on this ship and he'd like to find more ways to help people, big or small. ]

[ She doesn't think it's being given out of obligation, though she likely won't take him up on it anytime soon. Being a burden on others here is the very last thing she wants. ]
