CW: CHARACTER DEATH
[ The woman in the video is in her 30s, her distinctive hair loose around her shoulders, the white stripes making her pale skin quite noticeable. She shifts nervously as the message begins to broadcast, her expression uneasy while her eyes don't quite focus on the camera. Sure, she's looking in that general direction, she's just... not actually seeing anything. After a few moments, she finally speaks, southern drawl thick with nerves that make the words waver slightly. ]
Has anyone... Has anyone died recently? Here, on the station?
[ A pause. ]
Has anyone else died and woken up again?

First, I am sorry about what happened. I did not know. There is so much that has happened. If my questions become too much, simply tell me to stop. I know this must be much for you.
Where were you resurrected, my lady?
no subject
You can ask all the questions you want, sugar. This isn't the worst thing I've been through.
[ Not by a long shot. ]
I was in the gym when the station lost gravity. I don't know where I was when I woke up, but it wasn't there.

Is anyone with you right at the moment?

[ Even though all those hours alone are miserable and close to terrifying. ]

[Still. It does sound unsettling.]
What if I ensured I was covered almost entirely, save for my face? I would like to check on your vitals anyway, and I'll admit I could use some company myself.

Alright. I'm in 4.03. The door's unlocked, come on in.
no subject
I am Alucard. I will be on my way as swiftly as I can.
What should I call you?
no subject
My name's Rogue. It's nice to meet you, sugar, despite the circumstances.
action;
[It does take him more time than he would like, still in pain since working outside and his old wound wrenching open.
There is little to be done about it now.
When he does arrive, he announces himself softly as the door opens:] Rogue, it's Alucard. I'm coming inside.
no subject
Hi there, sugar. Come on in; I'm sorry you had to come all this way, but I do appreciate it.

[He approaches her, then kneels before Rogue.]
Before I begin, I wanted to inquire about your mutation. It involves skin contact, but what happens when you touch someone exactly?
no subject
Which I touch someone, I absorb them through my skin. Energy, thoughts, memories, emotions. I can borrow any special abilities they have for a while, and a copy of their psyche stays in my mind.
[ She explains it matter of factly, as if she's said the words a thousand times before. The actual number is probably just in the hundreds, but it's still an accurate sentiment. ]

[Alucard pauses, then continues:]
I am half vampire by my father. This means, of course, that I drink blood, though I will never take from an unwilling partner. The closest method I have to a blood test at this time is to perform a single finger prick and to taste in order to determine your state of health.
I ask for your permission to do this. I will not if you do not agree to it, Rogue.

And they're stuck on a space station together. Okay, keeping that perspective, it's... still weird, but it seems that nothing is impossible anymore. Taking a deep breath, she takes all of three seconds to make her decision before holding up her hand, palm up over her lap where he'll still be safe from a stray touch. ]
You can take what you need, sugar, I don't mind. You can have more than a pinprick if you're hungry.
[ She assuming he needs blood, though he hadn't quite confirmed that yet. Call it intuition. ]

[His voice is warmer, grateful. She can't even see him, doesn't even know him, and already she is prepared to be kind to him. In the wake of others, it is refreshing.]
As a vampire, I have better recovery and healing than any normal human. If you wish it, as I drink, you can take some of my abilities. I don't know that it'll help your blindness, but it would not hurt to try.
no subject
Thank you, sugar. I don't really have control over what I take, I can't control my mutation, but your healing should give you a few more seconds than most before it gets bad.
[ That's how it usually is with those with healing factors, anyway. She tilts her head slightly then, something occurring to her, and she gestures in the general direction of the bathroom. ]
It might be safer to use a razor and a glass though, I don't know how well I'd be able to shake you if we hold on too long. I don't want to hurt you.
( slides this your way just in case )
no subject
I think, likely, it is worth the risk for both of us. Afterward, we will see what happens. I promise, I will be fine.
Give me your hand, my lady.
no subject
One breath, two, and then she holds her left hand forward, the sleeve of her jumpsuit moving up to expose her wrist and part of a series of numbers tattooed into her skin. -827 ]
Don't hold on too tight, in case I need to break the connection.
no subject
Another time.]
Of course. If it's too much, break away as quick as you must.
[With a gloved hand, he takes hers by the fingertips gently. Leaning in, his fangs sinking into the flesh of her wrist, beginning to drink in the blood that rises to the top--
Oh, but what an odd sensation it is, to be drained as well in a way. It confuses him a moment, yet what else did he expect from what she had told him? Perhaps, though, it was only right to feel this way, like a penance.]

@CROW
We found her body and took it to the infirmary, so she likely woke up there.
Just to let you know why she wasn't in the gym.

Did Hajime see?
no subject
He met me there to assist.
no subject
I'm sorry I was not there.
Thank you for telling me.
