[ The woman in the video is in her 30s, her distinctive hair loose around her shoulders, the white stripes making her pale skin quite noticeable. She shifts nervously as the message begins to broadcast, her expression uneasy while her eyes don't quite focus on the camera. Sure, she's looking in that general direction, she's just... not actually seeing anything. After a few moments, she finally speaks, southern drawl thick with nerves that make the words waver slightly. ]

Has anyone... Has anyone died recently? Here, on the station?

[ A pause. ]

Has anyone else died and woken up again?

[ That's a lot of heavy questions there, Wanda. She doesn't really mind, though. Information is the only power they have here, it needs to be shared if they want to make it through this. ]

Nothing else has happened, no. I'm just going about my day like usual, as much as I can anyway.

And... I think it was about 20 minutes. It's hard to know for sure.

[ well, they are talking about death, which evidently isn't permanent here. her line of thought is the same as rouge's, though she understands the reluctance to discuss it. it seems ridiculous to ask if she's okay, she doesn't know how anyone can be after experiencing something like that. she can still remember how it felt for pietro to die. ]

Do you need anything?

[ Feeling someone else die and having to go on living afterward... As the most horrible thing she's ever experienced, it's not something Rogue would wish on her worst enemy. Her own death doesn't seem so bad in that perspective. ]

I'll be alright, sugar, but thank you for asking. I can manage to get to the mess hall and back well enough on my own, and that's really all I need. I don't want to be a bother to other people on the station.

[ it wouldn't be a bother, as far as she's concerned, and she's sure she's not the only one who wouldn't consider it one. but she's getting the impression that insisting so would be more helpful than harmful. ]

Not even for some company? [ she realizes she's not always the most comforting or friendly presence, but sometimes it's just comforting to have someone else there. ]

[ Her immediate gut reaction is to decline the offer - politely, of course, but still firmly. But she has been asking for company from those she considers friends, or at least friendly. So... ]

Company would be nice, actually.
