[A few days after gravity is restored to the station, Ryuji returns to the mess hall from Haru's garden to find a small robot flipped upside down, panicking through a series of morse beeps and boops, which- okay, that's kind of cool, and quickly figures out that the paneling and suction entrances of the little guy means it's probably meant for filtration and cleaning.
Looks pretty study, looks... waterproof, maybe? He lends a hand to get him right side up and it starts slowly moving forward. Ryuji takes out his communicator and immediately films this as it happens, because, why not?
He posts two videos on the network- the roomba moving down the hall and one, a few hours later in the fitness center as it crawls from the edge, and dives right in.]
Oh shit! Are you supposed to do that?
Whoa, whoa- I don't know how to fix you if you--- WHOA, COOL.
Hey, sup?
Just lettin you guys know the pool looks crystal clear now. All thanks to this little dude.
I figure I should give 'em a name but uh
Everything that comes to mind is kinda lame
Anyway, I think it's good? Anyone wanna give it the first try?

It's an old injury, one I had before waking here. I'm afraid I reopened it while helping with the gravity matter. It will heal with time and effort.
I would enjoy that. And I think others will appreciate having an activity outside of what few items we own.

Yeah... I mean, with everything that's been goin' down, I think we could all use a bit of a break from the shitty space ghost sitch.

I agree with that. I encourage all of you to enjoy yourselves while there is a quiet moment.

Or something like that. That's what one of my doctors said to me once.
[He pretended to be asleep for a lot of those hospital visits early on. Honestly, it was the shame of everything that had happened; he was immature and didn't want to face the way his mom looked when the doctor had said things like he won't be able to run again.]
I'm not a doctor like you, doc, so like. Well, there's really not a whole heck of a lot I can do for the people around here anyway, you know? So even if it's little and something dumb like making sure the pool is working, I wanna take care of that nicely.

Ryuji, never underestimate what you are capable of doing. What may seems like an inconsequential action can affect someone else dramatically. I am no more important than you, I promise.

C'mon man, I was tryin' to cheer you up and you went and reversed it on me.
[But... it was still really nice of him to say. He didn't have to do that. Ryuji feels slightly embarrassed for a moment.]
Thanks though.
Still tryin to find my purpose here and it's tough sometimes. I always think... I should be doing more, you know

[And he likes Ryuji a lot.]
That isn't a bad goal. I don't doubt something that appeals to you will work in your favor.
People will always be looking for things to do recreationally. If you enjoy that, you should think of things for people to do, maybe.

[Ryuji's pretty much the same, but without the added firmness or credibility that comes with someone to be regarded as respectable.]
... yeah!
Actually, I kinda like that idea.
