[ the video comes from a random hallway, and Bodhi is sitting against the wall, hair falling free from his hair tie, looking tired. he sighs, resting his chin on a hand. when speaking, he's not gesturing as much as he normally does. ]

I was wondering, how many of you have met people here, that you knew from before? Or... maybe someone you've never met, but they're from the same galaxy or planet as you. Just another -- time.

[ he pauses. it's not completely unrelated to his next question. this is actually, a bit overdue. given he hasn't thought to try ask the network before, but he has been looking.

but maybe, even if they aren't here, someone knows who they are? ]

Does the term "Rogue One" mean anything to anyone?

Yeah. Back home they floated the multiverse theory a few times - where every change diverted one universe from another, until you ended up with billions of parallel universes - but far as I know it'd only ever been a thought experiment. Nothin' real behind it.

Only there's an Earth in my system, but no one else has a version of Mars where the colony was established.

You said you came from - Jedha, right? - I ain't never heard of it, either.

Yeah. That's the only way I can make sense of it, anyway. Too many of the people here remember histories that are just - so damn far off my own that it don't make any sense, otherwise.

Fifty? [ He whistles. ]

I'm guessin' you're talkin' about full planets and not just satellites and moons, there.
donkeyballs: (hows that work exactly)

Same, brother. God damn same.

Damn. How many of the planets are like Earth? [ Oh right-- ] I mean, habitable from the get go. No terraformin' required.
donkeyballs: (you sure about this?)

Yeah, we've only got one that even supports life at all. Just Earth. Mars was rock and dust before we got there, and still is, for the most part.

But hell.

Are they always at war with each other, or...?
donkeyballs: (i'm thinkin')

Well, the planet itself ain't livable at all. But we've got thousands of kilometres worth of domes an' tunnels, so there's plenty of space. It just ain't open air, exactly. It'll take about a hundred years, before we see a terraformed Mars.

Not between planets? Who's it between, then?
