Hello everyone.

Recently I found something in my room. It seems to be some sort of diagnostic tool that can connect to the consoles. Most of them are missing a lot of data, and some are malfunctioning, but I did learn a few useful things.

First, the consoles and life support systems were reactivated the same day we woke up. A significant amount of data is corrupted, so the tool didn't give me a current date, only the number of days since then. It seems like the station was shut down completely before we arrived.

Second, the last time those systems were fully functioning was 2654. It didn't give me a month, and I don't know how long ago that was, but it is a baseline.

[Not a very pleasant one for her, but it's something.]

The good news is, the life support systems seem to be running properly. It hasn't picked up any issues.

I'm not particular. We could always meet in the dining hall and take a walk from there. Everyone knows where to find food, after all.

Okay. I'll meet you there.

[So Mako heads down to the mess hall and waits. She feels a little silly, actually. There's no way someone can turn into a wolf. Honestly, she wouldn't be surprised if he was messing with her.]

[why_me]

[ A few moments after she gets in, he'll make his way there and look around for... well, they probably should have shared a picture or at least discussed what they look like. As it is, he's just sort of looking for someone who seems to be looking for someone.]

[setpoint]

[She's definitely looking for someone, and her reaction when he walks through the door is hard to miss. She freezes, eyes widening like a deer in headlights. He looks so much like... No, he looks just like Raleigh.]

[why_me]

[ Once she reacts, he puts his hand to his chest. Him? Was she looking for him? ]

[setpoint]

[Mako hesitates, then nods.]

Garion?

[why_me]

[ That has him nodding and heading over to her, sitting across from her before tipping his head towards the entrance/exit. ]

And you'd be Miss Mori?

[setpoint]

Yes.

[Is she hallucinating? She feels like she's hallucinating.]

How long have you been on the station?

[why_me]

Only a few weeks time. And I'll admit, I've mostly been keeping to myself.

[setpoint]

[God, she feels like she's losing her mind. Before she can think better of it, she reaches out to touch his arm, as though making sure he's real.]

[why_me]

[ He looks down at her hand on him though he doesn't seem terribly troubled by it. Instead, he lets her rest it there, solid as he is. ]

Is there something the matter?

[setpoint]

[Mako pulls her hand back as soon as she realizes he's solid, looking utterly embarrassed.]

I'm sorry, I just— You... You look exactly like a friend of mine.

[why_me]

I was asked about something like that at one point.

[ He looks over at her. ]

Is that going to bother you?

[setpoint]

No, no, I just thought... People have been hallucinating. I wasn't sure.

[why_me]

You can touch my face if it would help. Or is it something that tricks all the senses?

[setpoint]

[Touching people in general isn't something she's used to, and now that she's fairly sure he's not a hallucination, there's no way she's doing it again.]

No, it's okay. Thank you. Maybe it's just... a strange coincidence.

[why_me]

[ He shrugs. He'd much prefer no one touch him on the face other than his wife or his aunt, perhaps, but he was trying to be helpful. He turns his hand, and she might notice one major difference: a pearlescent birthmark in the shape of a circle on his palm. ]

I've always thought I was rather plain looking. There's probably a dozen farmers in Sendaria or Rivans in the Citadel who look a good deal like me. Perhaps it's something like that.

You're not plain.

[Because "plain" is the last word in the word she'd use to describe Raleigh, and she feels the need to defend him, almost. But then she regrets saying it almost immediately, of course. God, this is the worst.]

[why_me]

[ Aha.

He can't help a bit of a smile, and she's not wrong. The smile, especially, makes his face the unplainest thing possible. ]

My wife would probably agree with you. To be fair.

[setpoint]

[Does he think she's hitting on him? He probably does, and she's definitely blushing, because that's not what she intended at all.]

Oh. That's good.

[Save her.]

You haven't met Raleigh yet, have you?

[why_me]

[ Actually, he was just letting her know that he's figured she's got feelings for whoever he looks like. The comparison was between her and Ce'Nedra, as opposed to any kind of warning. ]

I haven't met him yet, no. But I've heard of him. Frank mentioned him.
