Not just in regards to our being here, mind you, but for the disaster that seems to have befallen the previous crew here.
Personally, I'm starting to wonder if this station isn't a living thing in its own right.
But maybe that sounds a little crazy? Haha.

Please don't be shy to share your thoughts with me.
As a rookie detective, I'd be open to hearing whatever insights you might be able to provide.

Let's see...
From what information we have, it sounds as though they were trying to solve some sort of large-scale problem, but the method they used backfired on them.
The station is surprisingly intact for a disaster that wiped out an entire crew, so either it occurred on the lower decks we can't reach, or it caused people to simply vanish.
We're now plagued by strange occurrences that seem to be almost supernatural in nature.
After-effects caused by the disaster, maybe? That recording does seem to suggest they've somehow doomed the world with whatever they did.

Or the station is a living thing out to torture us, but who knows.
What about you, Skull? What are your thoughts?
I'm sure they're enlightening.

The things happening to us are strangely targeted, don't you think?
So far I've heard of people finding moving wire underneath their skin and doors that "swallow" people when they attempt to push them open.
There have also been those noises in the halls. I don't think a person could possibly fit in the space between the walls, but there are most certainly cries for help coming from inside them.

It simply feels... malicious.

That is a fair point, and one I'm still considering.
However, even if this is some kind of staged trick, it's on a scale far beyond my experience.
There are people here on the station that are, beyond a doubt, not human.
So the fact that many of us have been finding through conversation that we seem to be from different dimensions entirely...
It seems to rule out the idea that any of this is within the scope of "normal" deduction.

Preferably visual description, if you can manage. Some things are unfortunately beyond my abilities.

I'm thinkin the old crew were a bunch of dumbasses who messed up and somehow kidnapped us here to clean up their mess.

[He had some other theories, but they didn't really make much sense, and he's certainly not about to open up his thoughts to Akechi.]

Or, someone betrayed the crew and murdered 'em and now we're here stuck trampling around in their fresh graves, and they're pissed at that someone

Ah, of course! My apologies for not being clearer.
Among us, there's at least one person who appears human but has managed to leave the station and take an external picture of it. Presumably, he can survive in space without harm.
Hm, it's quite a lot to describe, but... The picture was certainly of a space station, like nothing I've ever seen. It's a huge structure, with a central column and a ring for each of the decks.
As for visibly non-human inhabitants, there's a girl who has large, angel-like feathered wings covered in eyes.
They're very real.

So I suppose it comes down to...
Whether it's easier to believe that these things are true, or that everyone on this station is lying.

I'm more curious about your first suggestion, though.
I hadn't considered that might be a reason for us to be deliberately brought here... it's not impossible, but why take a chance like that, I wonder.
The message @APHRODITE heard implies that they made at least six different attempts at whatever they were doing.
Did they really think a handful of random civilians taken from across different dimensions would fare any better?Hm.
If that was their motive, then where do you think they are now?
Was bringing us here their last act?

I do.
I might have been suspicious of something like the external picture of the station if that were all...
But the physical peculiarities are enough to clear my doubt on that front.
I can't say I trust everyone here, but I trust that our circumstances are far beyond normal, if that makes sense.

I admit I have not encountered these people myself, but I have met enough who have to accept this at face value.

At the least, our location seems to operate by a certain kind of logic. If nothing else, respecting that may let us lead us to the true meaning of our situation.

That's an excellent way of looking at it.
After all, the only thing I really want is proof one way or another.
I wouldn't be much of a detective if I let myself be biased towards a certain conclusion.

I have a little experience with places that possess their own intent, so it's not beyond the realm of possibility.
Considering we've been brought here from different dimensions, you have to consider answers that are beyond "normal."

Really, it's just something I thought because so many of the "accidents" that have taken place these past few days strike me as somewhat malicious.

Ah, that is true. Vacated rooms, unregistered watches, exactly two pairs of untouched clothing for every cabin.
And yet this station is clearly not new.
It feels as though the station was "reset" somehow between the disappearance of the last crew and our arrival.

I suppose the question in that case would be: was it the previous crew who prepared for us, or the station itself?
From the sounds of things... whatever happened here was rather abrupt.
I don't know if the previous crew had any reason to ready things for new arrivals, much less the time to do it.

I'm simply interested in understanding what everyone's own theories are about this situation.
If we're going to move forwards, we'll probably have to work on assumptions about the purpose behind our being here.

However... It's entirely possible that the means by which we were brought here and the reason we're being "fucked around with" are two different things.

There was a disaster here before we arrived, after all.
And if they believed whatever happened was enough to doom the world, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that it might be the cause behind the station's... strange behaviour.
Our displacement could very well be an accident.
