Alright, I won't waste anyone's time with pointless questions about how or why we got here, but there are a couple of things I'm looking for information about:

1. How many minors and noncombatants are aboard this station? Note, these are separate categories. I don't care how powerful or skilled you are; if you're under twenty, I consider you a member of the former.

2. It'll be helpful for us to have an idea of each other's Quirks. I'm not under the illusion that all of us have reason to trust each other or cooperate, but presumably none of us want to be here, so. If you're willing to provide information on any abilities you might have that could be considered "supernatural" in any way, I intend to compile it for our collective use.

[Aymeric wasn't made Lord Commander for sleeping in all day, the crack of dawn or whatever Aizawa decided the crack of dawn would be wouldn't pose him any trouble.]

I think I have a general sense now, at least. Baseline, by your definition, would be those who cannot use magic - whose skills are limited to their physical capabilities alone.

I wouldn't say I can't use magic, only that I've never tried and would need extensive training. Whether you consider the capacity to learn these skills a 'Quirk' or not I suppose it up to your judgment.

I've never studied the particulars of magecraft, I don't honestly know if I even have the aptitude for it. But I suppose were I to pursue it, I would need to find a discipline I'm suited for, a teacher versed in said discipline, a catalyst, and many moons of practice.

My hopes are that we do not spend the lengthy amount of time here that would be requisite for my learning to cast magic. Spending moons away from my home would be unthinkably perilous for the current state of affairs.

Do you wanna switch this thread to in-person then? :O

Or perhaps a few very good books on the subject, otherwise I may as well be reinventing the wheel. Regardless it may be fully better for me to stick with what I know; I like to believe I have some use outside of my capabilities for magic or combat.

[Though in a prison he wasn't sure how useful 'diplomacy' would really prove to be.]

6 sharp, then. Will there be a way for me to tell who you are? I'm afraid I don't know what you look like.

that's fine!

[The video startled Aymeric a bit, though at least now he had an idea of who he was looking for.]

I wish I knew how to return the favor, I'm having a hard enough time as it is writing correspondence.

As I said, I'm Elezen; taller than a Hyur - or human - by roughly a yalm, with long ears. My name is Aymeric.

[Well it took a good several minutes of bungling, but since Aizawa insisted and was kind enough to offer instructions, Aymeric made his very best attempt at it. He sent a roughly five second clip of first, the ground, then bringing his communicator up to show his face - relatively young, long pointed elf ears, an ear cuff and bright blue earring adorning one - before it abruptly cut off.]

Hopefully that was satisfactory? I’m surprised these devices can capture a person’s features so clearly.

[Of course the recording didn’t show off Aymeric’s height - roughly 6’7” - so that would be quite a surprise for Aizawa later.]
