VIDEO | UN: GFID-13576
[The video opens showing a young blonde woman looking sternly into the video.]
My name is Samus Aran. I'm creating an open database containing mapped out sections of this station and locations of any ... anomalies. It should also include any information we have of the people who were on this station before.
If you have explored the station or received any information you think could help us all as a whole, send it to me. The sooner we bring everything together the sooner we leave.
Additionally, if anyone finds any sort of power tools or engineering equipment I need it.

Wally West, speedster. I run real fast. I can help on the exploration front, at least as far as mapping out the station itself. I might be able to find you those tools you're looking for. Can I ask what you need them for?

[Somehow her resting bitch face gets a bit bitchier at the question. Or maybe that's her way of looking worried.]
To fix something.
no subject
Alright, fair enough. ( a shrug. ) As for speed, my top speed is a few mph shy of the speed of sound, last I checked. Think of me like the Energizer bunny. I just keep going and going and going ... I mean, I ran cross-country in about four hours when I was fifteen. I don't tire too easy.
no subject
Regardless, that is good to know. I'll send you a map of the areas I've explored, and you can expand on that.
no subject
( please don't make him clarify this. )
Anyway, I'm glad to help. I'll keep an eye out for any tools my next run around and get back to you about the map.
no subject
[Well guess what you're going to clarify, Wally?]
Good. Keep me updated.

Something of mine isn't working, I need to know why.

What is it?

[at least ur not gonna puke now]
I have no equipment to offer. Perhaps another pair of hands, should you need them?
no subject
[The conversation ain't over yet, we'll see]
You couldn't help. It's not common technology to work with.
[She doesn't say it with haughtiness, it's merely a fact. She even sounds frustrated with it.]

If I encounter such tools, I will inform you at once, Samus.
no subject
Good. Until then I'll just have to work on mapping. Have you encountered anything abnormal of note?
no subject
[It's spoken plainly, his voice softer, like the whole ordeal was mildly inconvenient. Truthfully, he's just exhausted.]

It appears mechanical. I've kept it, in case we find a way to properly examine it later.
no subject
Until then we're just ... stuck. I hate this.
no subject
...I know the feeling. But we will persevere. Many of us undoubtedly have tasks we must attend to.

You’re not the only one on this damn ship looking to get their handyman on, you know??
no subject
Do you have tools then or not?
no subject
Nothing but the bare bones so far and they're MINE, sister.
Nothing personal or anything but there's a whole lot more I can do when I got a good stash than when I don't, and besides it's finders keepers.
So what is it you're doing anyway, are you about working together right here or do YOU "need" them?
As in for YOU.
no subject
I need to fix something of mine. When it's repaired I'll be able to better help everyone else here. It's not just for my own gain if you're so concerned.

Would you be available to meet in person to go over what a database is?

[She lingers here often. It's something about the view.]
Thank you.
no subject
[OOC: Do you want to log or just quick brackets here? I'm game either way!]
no subject
Jasnah glances over her shoulder at the sound of approaching footsteps.]
Thank you for coming.
[ooc: brackets here works for me!]
no subject
[Samus walks over briskly, giving a nod of greeting to the woman.]
How can I help?
no subject
[Returning the greeting, politely, before glancing down at her wrist, then holding the communicator up for her to see.]
I'm completely unfamiliar with communications that don't involve ink and parchment.
no subject
That's ... primitive. I'm not sure how well I can bring you up to this level of technology. Certainly not quickly.

[Button, Jasnah.]

a map is a really good idea, actually
it'll let us work together on finding things at least.
and i've explored pretty much the entire station now?
so if you have any questions, just let me know!
no subject
Also an overview of anomalies or dangerous areas to leave a warning. Or make note to investigate.
no subject
the bar has alcohol?
which is useful for... a number of reasons.
but that's probably not what you're looking for, huh.
there was a puddle in the fitness room?
so i mean. if you need mold that might be helpful.
anomalies...
i don't really know.
i've been hearing the screams every now and then but it's just.
sort of all over the place?
oh!
there's a door that you can sink into if you're not careful.
maybe more than one?
i can try to retrace my steps to find those again.
no subject
I've heard the screams too, but can't pinpoint the exact locations. At this point the most likely cause is faulty mechanics. But we should mark these doors to make sure no one else sinks in.
no subject
that's a good idea?
like, a really good idea.
and we probably should.
but also, i think... you're going to have a hard time convincing people of that?
since alcohol also helps with the "stuck in space" part.
faulty mechanics?
do you mean like. a speaker somewhere got stuck and is looping scream.mp3
because i was definitely thinking hauntings instead.
no subject
I mean a leaking pipe or broken circuitry. Something physical.
no subject
i mean, in my experience?
i've heard a lot of screaming. it's definitely that.
just, inside the wall.
also i've heard at least a few leaking pipes too.
in case that helps.
