Hey, ya'll.
[ Hi Reverie Fam, it's your resident faux texan Martian, here, his warm drawl caressing your ears. For those of you that have them and can still hear out of them, anyway. ]
So I've been thinkin'.
We've been gettin' access to some new areas, but I'll be honest and say that there's on in particular I've been most interested in gettin' in, but we might need a team to do it like we did for the door to Operations. We need to get into the Hangar Bay. We know there is one - the map up in operations made that clear, and I'm pretty sure I even know the exact door we need to get in. We just need to get in it.
So I thought--
[ He cuts off sharply with an ow!, and then there's a clattering noise as the communicator hits the floor. Silence for a couple seconds, and then in a breathless whisper that sounds like it's coming from several feet away: ]
Holy shit, where did these come from? [ There's another rustling and clattering and the next time his voice is audible, it's from much closer to the mic. ]
Folks, I think we've got a ride.
I think we've got two rides, and--Wait, what? Where the hell'd they go??
[The audio disconnects.]

Hell, I think I teleported.

Show me.

A few seconds later, he appears right back in the same place, looking around completely confused. ]
See?

[He blinks, shakes his head, and shrugs it away. What else could anyone do at this point. The circus played on.]
At least it confirms there is a hangar and getting in it would be worth our while.
no subject
Two ships, hoss. Now idea how far we could take 'em, but--
no subject
We'd at least have options. That's more than we've got now.
[Then he takes a beat to. His voice shifting slightly.]
You're alright? No side-effects?
no subject
[ There's a pause, some rustling of fabric, as he considers the question. ]
Yeah, I think I'm fine.
no subject
[Humor as he considers how to say what he wants to next.]
Speaking of, I've been wanting to apologize, about before. I could have handled that better.
no subject
[ He pauses, at the latter. ]
Hell, Mike, you don't gotta apologize. I'd be space dust, if you'da let me go out there. We were all goin' nuts.
Of course you coulda handled it better, but you were in just as bad a way as I was.
No harm, brother.

[Because Alex sounds sincere and he knows he wouldn't have held it against the other man if it had been the way around, Mike is able to let the weight he'd been carrying around to slide off him.]
I normally wait for an invitation to share my elephant bones with someone, I swear.
no subject
Could crush a man to dust, with those. Hope you have a license for 'em.

I re-cert every year.
no subject
Gonna start leanin' them out, soon, just from bein' on the station.
[ Yes, that's a very round about invite to the gym. ]
no subject
[He runs, lifts, but getting in with someone else will be good. A chance to keep his reflexes and instincts honed as well as his body.]
Time and place, flyboy.
no subject
She an' I usually get a bit of a work out in after breakfast, if you wanna join us?
no subject
Way to talk a hell've a game.
My cabin's down the hall. If you don't see me in the galley first, stop by.
no subject
Alright, sailor. I'll come pick you up if you're still playin' sleepin' beauty.
no subject
See you then.
