[ Hi Reverie Fam, it's your resident faux texan Martian, here, his warm drawl caressing your ears. For those of you that have them and can still hear out of them, anyway. ]

So I've been thinkin'. 

We've been gettin' access to some new areas, but I'll be honest and say that there's on in particular I've been most interested in gettin' in, but we might need a team to do it like we did for the door to Operations. We need to get into the Hangar Bay. We know there is one - the map up in operations made that clear, and I'm pretty sure I even know the exact door we need to get in. We just need to get in  it.

So I thought--

[ He cuts off sharply with an ow!, and then there's a clattering noise as the communicator hits the floor. Silence for a couple seconds, and then in a breathless whisper that sounds like it's coming from several feet away: ]

Holy shit, where did these come from? [ There's another rustling and clattering and the next time his voice is audible, it's from much closer to the mic. ]

Folks, I think we've got a ride. 

I think we've got two rides, and--

Wait, what? Where the hell'd they go??

[The audio disconnects.]

Who the hell knows. But I'll take it. I'd rather they did it again, so I could actually get a better look at those ships.

All those people? I don't think they're dead.

Like... storage? [ he lifts his eyebrows. deck 7 here they come. ]

For the record, I never thought they were dead.

I didn't really see how someone turnin' into stardust could mean anythin' but dying, but-

Never. [ too quick, but- ] I think they went home. To where they came from. Just like we all woke up here.

[ These concepts belie your premise, Miller. ]

How did we get here, Alex? You're right, though, they could also be below. Dead or alive. We'll find out soon enough.

Look, I ain't sayin' I have an idea in hell how we got here, but that's a long way, right? I don't know.

But yeah. If we can get into the rest of the station, maybe we can figure it out.

People appear the same way they disappear, and we came here from nothin'. It's not that farfetched an idea.

But we appear with our jumpsuits on, right? So where do they come from?

That's your burning question? I guess they... mess with our memories somehow. Or this place does.

Honestly, hoss, the whole damn thing just makes my head spin. I ain't sure I should think about it too hard.

Long as you're thinkin' on how to get us outta here, I'm happy to leave it to you, gumshoe.

Well, what the hell happened to the last crew, for one.

While I might be curious about it, I still think the escapin' part is probably a hell of a lot more important.

[pampa]

I don't care what they did. Or who they were. They fucked up and we have to unfuck this. It's that simple.

[ he can't afford to care about anyone else on this damn deathtrap oKAY ]

[ Though the 'exactly' might mean less than it would usually sound - because Alex's voice is more relieved and hesitant than confident. ]
