hi
i'm hajime hinata. from japan, earth. probably the most significant thing about it is a really prominent high school called hope's peak, known worldwide for cultivating talent, so if you've heard of it, that's something we have in common at least.
that's really not why i'm trying out this posting thing, though. i mean, you've all been thinking about it, right? what we're supposed to do now? nobody's in charge here. there aren't any objectives to clear. there aren't even any rules.
do we just... live here? is that supposed to be enough? are we supposed to solve the mystery of what happened on this station before we can go home, like some kind of stupid murder-mystery dinner?
i guess what i'm trying to get at is... yeah, what i said before. what do we do now? i've had enough of weird processed food and pulling open the walls in search of voices to get nothing but wires and stuff i don't understand.

I guess it'd depend on what we have here. It's not like we could just wave a really big flag.
[ There's another pause, though it is more serious this time. ] An SOS isn't a bad idea, depending on who might find it.

it sounds stupid, but why couldn't we hang something outside the station? something to make it obvious that there are people living here. like using lights or something to be like... WE ARE HERE
...what do you mean, depending on who might find it?

There's a whole lot of bad people in the galaxy. I know many of them who would take a distress beacon as a sign of their next score.

[He's... just kind of guessing here, based off what he knows from movies and pop culture. Are they still called pirates in space? Space pirates?? Language is hard and not his specialty.]

[ He could probably talk down Ravagers. Maybe. Okay, he'd have to bargain somehow.
But he can't say the same for anything else here. ]
I don't mind being reckless, but we're really unarmed. I'd rather not be lasered to death and then eaten.

[It's said softly to himself with some disbelief, because people don't eat people?? Umm???]
yeah, i'm totally in favor of not being eaten. so... what do we do to make sure we can defend ourselves? i'm guessing making clubs out of the walls isn't going to be much help

Maybe a spaceship or two.
Don't ask me how we're going to get them, though.

[Also, hey, weren't you supposed to be captain?? If anyone knows how to get them, it should be you!!]
well... maybe there's an armory somewhere on the station. in one of the areas we haven't been able to get into yet

[ Listen... he's not a great captain. ]
