Yes and yes. Weirdly, I've seen a few worlds where they have comic book stories like that. Those words are normally ones without any real superheroes of their own...

The comic book version of superheroing is probably more fun.

We've got comics, sure, but they're animations, not books. Pretty sure Red Revenger had a series or two - but no. We used to say the Martian Marines were superheroes, but not like what you're talking about. They're just trained to hell and back.

Really? Cause if I could fly around in space without a suit I'd be doing it pretty much every damn minute of every damn day. Sounds fun to me.

OK admittedly flying is actually good fun, yes. I wouldn't trade that for the world. You're a pilot, you know what I mean.

I suppose what I'm really referring to is the downside of superheroing. When you're trying your goddamn hardest to help make the world a better place and yet there's always some kind of trade off. You defeat the bad guy and save the world, sure, but there are always casualties. Innocent people still die. It's not right. And it's not good enough.

...Sorry, end of rant. They never put that shit in the stories.

But that would be too easy, wouldn't it. But at least there are those of us left who still want to keep trying.

At the moment, I'd settle for managing to save everyone on this station.

Even if I'm not entirely sure what the hell we're needin' savin' from.

Don't suppose you saw any ships docked, while you were out there?

Didn't see a thing. No ships, no movement, nothing. I think I spotted something that looked like it could have been a hangar bay door once upon a time but I didn't get too close. Next time I go out I think I'll take a closer look...

Get yourself a space suit and maybe I'll even take you with me.

Think you could fly two? We take Amos, we might be able to get that hangar bay open.

Sure. I mean, I THINK that's what it was. If we get down there and it turns out to be a cat flap don't get angry with me.

Hell, I'd be thankful just for a look at the place. Might be able to figure out where the command deck is, from the outside.

Also I'd feel a lot better to see that there ain't any hull breaches with my own eyes.
