Hi everyone. Apollo here. I don't think I've met even half of you yet but I thought I’d share this:

Is this your first time in space?

oh, no
i grew up on l-21
it's a mooon? terraformed
and my dad's in transport so i've been in space lots

never been on a station this big though until a year ago

Oh, you're a regular space hopper then! Never heard of l-21 before... What's a terraformed moon like?

i mean there's also emptier areas where the mining is done fully automatically and all
but the docks are really crowded

It's funny, I never really thought of the stars as crowded until I went out there. You think there's going to be so much space, what with how huge it is, and then you find out it's just as crowded as home...

Home is Earth. That's where I'm from. [ Although now that Kara has put seeds of doubt in to his mind he isn't as sure as he was before. Thanks for that, Kara. ] I live on a ship called the Carrier though. It's a shiftship. One foot in orbit around Earth, one foot in the multiverse.

Sorry, I'm being confusing. Earth is my home planet, there are a few of us Earth people on board. I don't think we're all from the same Earth though. More like lots of different alternate versions of Earth. The multiverse is what we call all the different version of the galaxy that exist. The Carrier has the ability to jump through the multiverse and visit different kinds of Earth.

Pretty weird as explanations go, I know. I still find it baffling and I've been living it for nearly twenty years.

Most definitely. I mean, what are the chances? The vast majority of us are from wildly different versions of the universe, so why not this station too?

Weird to think about, isn't it? It blew my mind the first time I heard about it.

how do you go from one universe to a different one??

Well hold on, it gets weirder.

Our ship "sails" the world between universes called the Bleed. Like, think of a no mans land between dimensions and that's kind of what the Bleed. The Carrier keeps close by Earth but she can open a portal for us in to anywhere we want, whether it's on Earth or in another dimension. Pretty useful.

(I told you it gets weirder.)

Honestly? I don't understand most of it either. I'm not too hot on the science side of how it works. I'm the big guns.

So what do you think of the station? Is it like the one(s) you've been on before?

it's a lot emptier than the stations i've been to. dirtier, too. but honestly not much??
it's just really weird that we haven't been able to get to the command centre. or that there's no medbay. at least not accessible. i've never seen a station without a medbay.

I make actual guns feel really small.

Also I totally agree on the command center bit. I'm working on it. Watch this space. I don't suppose you've got a strong arm, have you?

I hadn't thought about the medbay but you're right. Wow. That's not good. I mean, I found a medkit but I don't think a few bandages and antibacterial sprays are going to last us very long...

but i can punch through some walls? not literally. but it might be useful?? maybe. useful or terrible. i'm not really good at it yet

I found the medkit in a bulkhead in my cabin, along with a pack of cards and a hair clip. I think it was someone's storage area. It's not going to save any lives but it could be useful in a pinch.
