Has... anyone heard any rumors regarding this station? Mostly referring to those you might have heard before coming here, but any are good, I suppose.

[Minato hadn't heard any, but that didn't mean none existed. He wasn't sure if he hoped he was wrong or if he hoped he was right, he just mostly wanted to get back to his friends.]

On Alethkar, there are strict religious prescriptions against guessing the future. We don't tolerate gambling, it's too close to attempted divination.

That is a little bit extreme, even if I've no interest in it myself... But I suppose religions all have their things that way.

[Jun never put much stock in religion, but he understood how they might see divination and gambling as sinful.]

It's one of the powers of our historical enemies. The prohibition has become overstated, but it's true that Odium's agents have the power to see the future.

That's all neither here nor there. One thing that consistently strikes me is how little the power struggles and metaphysics of our homes seems to transfer here.

It does seem that way. I only hope that's true and that it remains so.

So far from our home worlds and our old lives, we have no one to rely upon other than each other, so if anyone is from an opposing side of a conflict, I'd hope they see that there is no reason to continue such a thing.

I don't know if it's come up here yet. I would be surprised if it eventually did not.
