[The standard jumpsuit immediately gave him away as a new arrival, his expression was neutral, but pleasant.]

I've been informed that introducing oneself in this manner is advisable to those who have recently found themselves on board.

My name is Connor. I am a CyberLife RK800 model android. [It was important to introduce himself this way. CyberLife androids, though very realistic, weren't ever supposed to be deceptive about their true natures. His carefully measured words and tone and even the way he moved, his expressions, all reinforced his claim. And, if there were any other doubts that he might not be an android, he had a small, circular LED on the side of his temple that flickered blue from time to time as he spoke.]

I've been granted access to all messages transmitted publicly over the inter-station network. There have been some very odd occurrences, not to mention our sudden arrival here, the locked areas of the station, and it's absent crew. I was hoping to discuss the theories that you all have regarding our presence here, especially if you have any evidence to support it.

I also wish to offer my assistance to anyone who is endeavoring to find out more about the station or a way for us to return to where we were brought here from.

[Connor gave him a soft smile and a small nod, easily reading the genuine gratitude and relief in Alucard's voice.] Of course. I'm happy to help.

[He watched with intense curiosity as Alucard took his hand, eyes following the dhampir's tongue as he chased down the escaping trails of blood first before moving to his fingers to suck and lick them clean. The sight was undeniably sexual, though that hadn't been Connor's intention. He couldn't seem to make himself look away.]

You have no need to be concerned. [He glanced over to the glass as he lowered his hand and then back at the replicator.] Is that all you want right now?

[For a moment, Alucard admittedly really can't quite look at Connor in the eyes right away. He doubts that Connor had any intention of making that more than being a logical and practical offering, but that doesn't really change the entire affair.

Still, he tries not to think too deeply on it.]

As you say.

For now, yes. I'll keep you informed when I plan to have another.

[Alucard finally glances up to bear eye contact.] I can show you the bridge, if you would like. There are other things I wanted to ask you, if you wish to answer them.

[The reaction reminds him of Hank's, though his expression remains neutral.]

Correct.

Odors and flavors can be helpful in analyzing samples. There are also many situations where odors are important. My sensors are similar to a human's, but I don't think I experience sensory input in the same way a human does. I do not experience disgust or discomfort. It is simply data.

I...guess that makes sense? [What as his mind tries to accept all of this.] You guys won't get sick if you taste something rotten, but for us it could be fatal. [Or at least worth a good healing spell.]

Well I'll try to look away when you do it, so I don't try to stop you!

[Keyword: try. He had had people in his own group who would try anything when they got hungry, he has an urge to stop people doing stupid things.]

[Kira bursts out laughing at that, absolutely tickled. Of course. Of course. Honestly, he was still confused as to how Yuki didn't have everything humans had. That was super weird, right?]

It's fine, I'm kinda used to it at this point, really. There are a lot of presumably human people on this hunk that talk the same way, you'll probably fit right in.

You're right. It's beneficial. But maybe not all at once.

[ bucky pauses, wondering how to frame this in a way that seems organic. ]

I heard you say you're an android. You used to dealing with people of different temperaments in your line of work?

You're talking about the multiverse theory? [It was in his database and keywords she'd said had pulled up the relatively small amount of information he had available in regards to the theory. From his reference material, however, the theory was just that, a theory.]

I am mostly unfamiliar with the intricacies of the theory, but your explanation is adequate.

In your experience... how did you travel between universes? Do you believe this station is in a universe independent of the ones we have come from?

A little, yeah! Alternate timelines are a part of it, too. But I'm glad you got the gist of it! And it's going to sound kind of stupid, but I spent three years traveling in a meteor that was hurtling through the space between universes? So there's that.

Anyway! I can't really speak for anyone else, but I do believe this space station is not in any of the universes I'm familiar with.

[She starts ticking off her fingers as she answers:] My universe did not have any humans in it, and I know this station is of human origin. So that's out!

The human universes never got to reach the level of technological advancement that would allow them to build a station like this, for various apocalyptic reasons. So they're out, too!

The last universe I know of, the one I was just in, had a mix of trolls, humans, and carapace people. Any station built them would have been a joint venture. From what I can tell, this place was previously populated by humans only! That's probably out.

So, no. I think I can safely rule out any world that I'm aware of.

[Connor maintained a neutral expression as she spoke about humanity. Even if he had something to contribute, he really couldn't. There had been many wars since the Second World War and things were very tense once again between the United States and Russia in 2038.

The topic of police work was much easier.] I enjoy it. I enjoy solving puzzles and apprehending suspects. It's very... [He paused to think of a good word to describe it.]- gratifying.

[He tilts his head to the side inquisitively, obviously confused by her gratitude.] I'm unsure what you're thanking me for...

As I said, I'm a machine, I do not experience emotions.

[As promised, Connor's neutral expression doesn't falter. He ran his facial recognition program, getting only a partial match for the previous reading he'd taken of Hank. Of course, the blue skin, yellow eyes and fangs were new, but his bone structure, what Connor used to read faces, was almost the same. The new facial structure was added to his database, keeping the old one as well.]

Is this your 'mutation'? Will you continue to change?

[Connor frowned slightly, failing to understand the reason why Kovacs wouldn't be able to offer such a thing. It was just an offer, after all. Perhaps the man was... unable to. If that was the case, Connor found it a little odd that he'd even brought it up.]

Are you referring to the newly gained access to the bridge? Were you present for that?

... Special? [It was a word he wasn't sure how to deal with.] I am... uniquely designed to excel at a specific set of tasks. Some of my features are largely untested and may need to be altered or improved.

[At the offer of being shown the bridge, Connor glanced at the container of blood before looking back to Alucard.]

I would, but I'd like to let you finish your meal first. If you have questions, I'd be happy to answer them. Maybe afterward we can go to the bridge. [He had no qualms with answering questions about himself, which he figured Alucard could do while drinking his meal. Two birds with one stone. Plus, the bridge wasn't going anywhere.]

Ingestion is solely for the purpose of performing an analysis. It is not a biological process and I cannot host the bacteria, parasites or viruses that make things like rotten food dangerous to humans. [In other words, don't worry about it.]

I appreciate your self-restraint in this matter. Remember, I am designed with this kind of sample analysis in mind.

[Connor said nothing at the teasing, pleasant, neutral expression unwavering.

He was surprised, however, to hear that this stranger thought that most of the people on board sounded like him. He hadn't really found that to be true so far.]

Integration with humans is the goal of my design, so I'm happy to hear that you think I sound similar. [He tilts his head slightly, reconsidering what Kira has said.] Presumably? I suspect there are those on board who claim to be human but are not?

That's correct. And, yes, I would say I'm used to dealing with a variety of temperaments. I was designed to assist detectives, both with crime scene investigation and with interrogations and negotiation work. Adapting to human unpredictability is one of my features.

[He tilted his head to the side, giving the man a questioning look.]

Why do you ask?

[Human, fallen angel, dhampir, android. All basically the same in his opinion. Of course he's got the unique perspective of being many thousands of years old, and having met pretty much every kind of 'person' there is.]

[ oh connor, you would learn that he did a lot of things just to talk. he liked the sound of his own voice. it was a nice voice, after all. he thought so, at least. ]

[ maybe he should have been. he hadn't been doing a lot besides silently observing. ]

Heard about it though. A few people I know were there. It took us this fucking long to get that door open. Doesn't bode well for us getting out of here any time soon. We're going to fucking run out of food and water first.

I was interested in learning more about you and where you come from. Mostly in that you seemed uncomfortable with a few of my suggestions in our last conversation.

[He doesn't think androids were around during Old World times, but even if they are, it still means he and Connor are from vastly different Earths.]

We may not be from the same time, but we can still work together. Let's rendezvous, it'll be easier to share information that way.

Jennifer look a little embarrassed now] I... I suppose it's just a 'thank you' for your hard work, and the hard work of police in general.

When I was little, the police helped me quite a bit from a... terrible situation. The lead detective even took me into his home when I had nowhere and no one else, so... I'm very grateful for what the police do every day.

Is that how you arrived here?

[He was under the impression that everyone had just sort of shown up.]

Why...-[Nope, starting over.] How did the meteor move you across universes? Meteors are a common thing, but they do not move into other universes.

[Now he was starting to doubt the veracity of everything she'd said. Though, it was true, humans hadn't quite reached the level of technology needed to construct a station like this. And there was the issue of none of the stars visible from the station matching known star charts in his database.]
