[V I D E O] [UN: CONNOR]

Hello.

[The standard jumpsuit immediately gave him away as a new arrival, his expression was neutral, but pleasant.]

I've been informed that introducing oneself in this manner is advisable to those who have recently found themselves on board.

My name is Connor. I am a CyberLife RK800 model android. [It was important to introduce himself this way. CyberLife androids, though very realistic, weren't ever supposed to be deceptive about their true natures. His carefully measured words and tone and even the way he moved, his expressions, all reinforced his claim. And, if there were any other doubts that he might not be an android, he had a small, circular LED on the side of his temple that flickered blue from time to time as he spoke.]

I've been granted access to all messages transmitted publicly over the inter-station network. There have been some very odd occurrences, not to mention our sudden arrival here, the locked areas of the station, and it's absent crew. I was hoping to discuss the theories that you all have regarding our presence here, especially if you have any evidence to support it.

I also wish to offer my assistance to anyone who is endeavoring to find out more about the station or a way for us to return to where we were brought here from.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

[Arid has likewise not heard of this “CyberLife.” However, judging by the android’s immediate reaction to her question, she presumes they have equally harsh ways of dealing with deviance as Domesticon.

The human desire for an organic appearance among their AI is also familiar—for certain functions, at least. The android is well-mannered enough and yet he lacks the emotional expression and informality of the Universal Companion. Then again, 9S has demonstrated that humans from other universes could be rather more liberal in which AI they choose to model on themselves.]

What is the primary function of the RK800 product line?

Nah. I got here the same as everyone else, as far as I can tell. Just woke up here one day.

[She makes a face as he presses her on the meteor stuff she can't help the fact that her life is nonsensical.]

So, the part of the universe I was in doesn't follow normal space/time laws. You can travel in a direction and end up back before you started because things are so wonky. It's difficult -- but possible! -- to know where you're going, and I was with some people who were uniquely qualified to figure that out.

Ummm, because she looks like a corpse? I still can't believe you're serious.

Oh, well then it's for the best if you don't know.

[Kira's amusement was gone at that. Of course. Of course. Humans above all else. His creator above all else. Terrible. Kira didn't like it. Lucifer hated it. It wasn't Connor's fault though, was it? 'His programming'.]

I think everyone on this ship should be treated as a 'living being'. If you want to sacrifice yourself for someone else, be my guest, but I sure as shit ain't gonna go outing people so that they'll be 'lower priority' to you.

[Wryly:] You appeared to be slightly uncomfortable with the concept of having your own room. Am I wrong?

[Otherwise, Alucard listens carefully to Connor, having another drink from his glass. The year is slightly more ahead than most people he's encountered, but still quite in the distant future for Alucard.

He isn't certain what the Turing Test is, but he does frown at the mention of an android's use.]

I suppose it was too much to hope that humanity would create you out of benevolence.

[He does sound disappointed. Not in Connor, but in the truth of the matter.]

It does not bother you? Why you were made, and being forced to do it?

They do.

[ that he could confirm with absolute certainty. he's even got the thing in question on him. he hefts the backpack off his shoulder and holds it up. ]

This was mine back home. Showed up here a few weeks ago.

[ and had thrown him for a fucking loop for awhile now. ]

No one can explain how the fuck things can get here, people can get here, but we can't do jack shit to go anywhere. How the fuck does that make sense?

Nope. I deserted YoRHa like a sensible android. [Which, you know, means she's a giant traitor.] What they do is none of my business anymore, unless it's sending their shitty androids to try and destroy me. Which, for the record, has never worked well for them.

Sorry.

[ Hank isn't sure if apologizing to the android for mistaking him for having human emotions is the right course of action, but he's polite so he does it anyway. ]

Yes, this is a part of my mutation. And no, I won't change further. It's just this or the other face, for me.

messed up since it sounds like some androids don't like that?
i can't really imagine 9s and a2 would want to at least.
also, i just sort of hate the idea of being born into someone's plan to begin with?
maybe that's just me, but. i got enough of that growing up.

also i guess it's probably not wormholes. but the supernatural still definitely exists??
plenty of people think god's supernatural and i used to have to listen to him on the radio.
and half the people here don't think the devil is real?? which. lol

or. well. not a human corpse.
do android corpses look like that? that's kind of messed up.

In other words, don't worry about it. [Got it.]

I'll do my best, for the sake of all the Really Kool androids out there.

Yeah that works for me. I've been meaning to take a better look at the bridge anyway. And if anything happens, I can protect the both of us.

Just because they're made my man doesn't make them less alive. If they think and feel, they're as alive as I am, and that's all I need to know.

[Really, he knew more, but he wasn't about to talk about Yuki to some strange android who was trying to say that he had less of a priority to live because they are metal and plastic rather than meat and bone.]

Besides which, there are organic lifeforms here that are not human who pass for it, and some who don't. They don't deserve any less respect.

I know you're trying to gauge if I can get you all out of here, but the way you phrased that sounds like you're asking about my morals. Do I leave the station if it means abandoning everyone else? Or do I go?

And man, I don't have much of a clue about what the previous crew were doing. All I know is that they were trying to test something. Who knows what?
