Good Evening, Reverie Station.

I have been wondering something that is not immediately relevant. How many of you believe in God? Or in Gods? If you do, do you worship them?

Conversely, do you believe in Hell? Demons? The Devil?

I realize this is a lot of questions, and I apologize, but it would be quite nice if you would satisfy my curiosity.

One more question- for those faithful and those who are not, how would you react, should you meet someone that turns out to be the First of the Fallen? Whether you believe or not, let's say in this hypothetical situation that you do.

All these things are truthful where I am from. For some they are legend, but they are a reality for me.

I have no comment for the last question.

Just because it is reality doesn't mean you bend the knee to a deity, right?

No.

There are no deities to bend a knee to. None would love a creature such as me.

Deities don't know love, anyway. You are the same as a human in that way. I don't know if that's a comfort or not, but it's what I've experienced.

Not terribly. It can be a bit inconvenient at times, but I've no need for it.

That's a relief. Here I was beginning to think you were sad about not having the eye of a mad scientist. It's a scary thought, if I'm honest.

We've spoken before, haven't we.

We have. At length, sometimes.

[Lucifer's pride stopped him from being able to ask what he really wanted to, though. His curiosity would have to be satisfied another way.]

I had a feeling, based on what you said. I did not want to assume initially.

I want you to know that I am sorry for what I said before. And for my actions, if they were unwanted.

It's interesting to watch a person unravel. You get to see what they are wound so tight around.

[He's not sure whether that is an acceptance of Alucard's apology, but it doesn't feel like it.]

You don't trust me?

Not necessarily that. I was angry with so many things, and I took it out on you. I was trying to hurt you, for no good reason.

Then I wanted something else. Obviously.

You must have thought it at some point. I'm not surprised.

[Still a child, after all.]

What am I to you?

I have no excuse.

My friend, if you still wish it.

You aren't wrong to have had the thought, I suppose. I have a reputation. Unwarranted, mind you, as I don't tend to interact with mortals if I can avoid it, but millenia of bad press can do that.

[Basically- he gets it. Like okay, yeah. That was what people thought of him, and he wasn't known for NOT playing with people, but still.]

I wish to give you another chance. My pride is not easily mended, but if I spurned everyone who hurt it then I would be all alone.

It is no better than those who have convictions against me due to what knowledge they claim to have. Though I appreciate your understanding.

I would like that chance, but I would understand if you decided otherwise.

It isn't entirely selfless to give you another chance, Alucard.

No man is an island entire of itself. Not even angels. Not even devils.

[Basically- he likes you too, and having you around is nice for him.]

If it was selfless, it wouldn't exactly be you, would it? I mean that fondly.

I understand.

[If he were Kira right now, he would definitely shoot back with something like THAT'S RIGHT, but right now he's much more subdued than when he is indulging in his human facade.]

Of course. I highly doubt that much can be done that is completely selfless, anyway.
