Apparently a number of us have been experiencing hallucinations. Some aural, some visual. I happened to be able to record mine...

[ What follows is a shaky, first person visual of a corridor on deck 3. It might have been recorded via the wrist communicator, but savvy viewers will be able to tell that the perspective is more eye-level than wrist level. At first, nothing happens, then suddenly there's a loud CRASH! and a shower of sparks as the wall and ceiling panels explode, exposing wires from behind them. The perspective changes as Haruto falls to the ground, and after a stunned moment, everything is suddenly back to normal. There are no sparks, no exposed wires, no collapsed panels. The video ends just as the sound of approaching footsteps begins. ]

I do not know if others witnessed the same hallucination I did, or something else. But this should be impossible. Anyone with any insight would be appreciated.

Do you know of other "memories" besides the hallucinations?

I know of similar matters. Nothing that could be clarified entirely by science.

What else would it be clarified by?

Magic. Sorcery. However else you wish to define something that does not go under the practical use of science.

When both meet each other, there can be unpredictable effects.

Magic isn't real.

It's either one or the other with humans, isn't it. Either science isn't real, or magic isn't real. If I meet someone who refuses both as well as their god, I wonder what that leaves them.

[ Okay, BUT--- ] Science is provable. Magic is just in stories.

I suppose if someone transformed into a different creature in front of you or tossed a fireball to your loins, you'd be determined to refute that as well.

Humans are utterly stubborn. I would not have this ... debate, if one could call it as such.

That-- wouldn't happen!

[ Yes, he's seen impossible things in the past few days. Yes, they're in space and he doesn't know how or why, but MAGIC ISN'T REAL. ]

I'm sorry, but none of what you're saying makes any sense.

No, of course it wouldn't. [Alucard doesn't really hide his annoyance.]

What else is there really to say to you?

[ Haruto sighs again, but it's the tired, defeated sort of sigh. ]

I suppose... If you could show me proof of some "magic," I would have no choice but to believe you.

Should we meet, we will see if I have the energy to humor you.

[ He can't help but feel that he's come off on the losing foot in this conversation. ]
