A lot's been happening.
[ honestly? he's just glad that he hasn't actually faded into nothingness like he'd been scared he would. ] And I haven't made as much progress on the plants and seeds as I'd like.
But the good news is, the seeds we found are viable and they're growing. They're all catalogued, too, and if something goes wrong with the replicators, we won't starve.
[ probably. he's pretty sure on this one. ] I still want to improve the nutritional value of the various species as much as I can, but for now, I think we should spread out the plants. The station seems build for it and honestly? It's a good idea. Means that if something goes wrong on one end, we might not lose everything.
[ although this station, much like any other, is a simple complex system. cascades of failure can happen. ]
So if you're not afraid to get your hands dirty, come talk to me?

How much has grown since they were first found?
[He mentioned that they wouldn't starve if the replicators went wonky, but that probably wouldn't last very long either.]

[ which is more than he was hoping for, really. ]

And we're sure they're actually edible?
[A lot of weird things have happened here, and Daisy can't help but feel cautious about anything that could be remotely good and actually helpful.]

[ and that could have been it, really, but then prax remembers - ] We also need to keep track of what gets planted where.
[ for those who can't recognise plants by their foliage alone. ]

( they hadn't all been catalogued when she'd first gone there )
I would be willing to continue assisting you.

[ not everyone can recognise every plant by its foliage alone, after all. ]

Did you do a lot of work growing stuff up in space, or were you a planet-side botanist?

Imperial fleet?

The Empress had this whole thing about expanding the empire and taking over other planets, and she demanded that everyone join up in the space navy and spend their lives in service of conquering the stars and everything.
It was also destroyed, though not recently. So there's that.

[ easier to concentrate on learning about other worlds than on the destruction of ganymede. ]

So, everyone where I'm from is raised by a monster animal that we call a lusus, and we care for the lusus in turn as we grow up. The ones who are destined to become the empress all get raised by this one giant psychic leviathan with a name that sounds like when you blow bubbles in water. Gl'bgolyb, I think that's how you say it?
Anyway, if her voice ever got louder than a whisper, it would start killing trolls. Even across the galaxy. That's psychic powers for you, I guess. So, when my planet started getting bombarded with meteors and she started screaming, well! That was sort of the end of that.

[ sounds very strange. ]
Dumb isn't the word I'd use.
