We should start keeping track of the missing.

[That's two more good friends, in the span of a couple of days, and the loss isn't easy to push through. But it's not time to get sad, or scared. It's time to get angry, get moving, get ahead.

Someone had once suggested they were going home, all of the vanished people. But no matter how hard she hopes, Clara just can't make herself believe it. Things don't work that way. Why would their captors just toss them back, like lucky fish? It doesn't make sense.]

I've got a few working theories, but none of them are very nice, so I'm open to suggestions.

Probably. How else will they find out what's safe and what isn't?

[This is a pretty dark conversation, but it's not like Daisy hasn't been thinking about it. Clearly, Clara has been as well.]

By figuring out what our limits are.

[She's still thinking that their captors must not be human.]

[Daisy is very much thinking the same thing. At the very least it's a big possibility.]

And I don't think they care enough that they're actually eliminating people we know. Or maybe they saw them as a threat.

[After all, Captain America was one of those people that disappeared.]

They probably don't care that they're eliminating people at all, if we're just a bunch of subjects to them.
