So I'm sure we've all noticed by now that there's no clinic or medical bay or anything on the ship. At least, not that we can get to?

So I'm grabbing one of the family rooms near me. It's uh...The 23rd room on the sixth floor for Crew Quarters. I'm going to turn it into a little clinic-medbay-thing as best I can. I'm going to try and make some sort of sign.

We don't have a lot of supplies, so I was hoping everyone would be willing to bring the medkits you've collected. I'll be taking some of the extra linens from the laundry room so we can try and use them as bandages. I haven't seen any bleach, so I'm going to try really hard to get everything as sterile as I can with soap and hot water.

So...aside from medkits, I was hoping to see if anyone else has medical knowledge or any ideas for how we can keep this safe and clean that they'd like to lend. Or suggestions for what we can substitute for actual items... Right now, we can't really do a lot of more serious stuff, but...

A lot of what I know is from experience and research, so I guess I'm useful for trying to do things with very little...but if we have actual medics, it'd be really helpful.

I have been extensively trained. I can diagnose and perform surgeries, as needed. Setting broken bones.

Hopefully, it won't need to come to any of that.

I appreciate you locating a room. I will help make it as sterile of an environment as possible.

I don't know if we're anywhere near capable of performing surgeries or ever will be, but with how things went when we all got here, it seems like broken bones could be a big concern.

I've been looking everywhere, but we don't have bleach or anything close to it. Do you know anything besides soap that might work?

That depends entirely on what we even have here on the station.

Even if we had vinegar, that would be a start.

We have a lot of soap. If there's vinegar, it's hidden better than the locked rooms.

It'll have to do for now until we have something better.

Boiling for an extended time will definitely help. With wounds, we'll just have to try to make the cleaning creams last for as long as we can.

Do not use all the linens for bandages. We will need some for regular changing. I will see if it's possible to manufacture other tools, though that is unlikely.

I won't take all of them, but I'm definitely going to take as many as I can. Bandages are more important when we can just rewash the linens we have now.

As for cleaning, I appreciate the help! I grabbed one of the family quarters, so I have to decide how to set everything up.

I can assist in set up as well. I have helped in a clinic for much of my life. It will not be unusual for me.
