Hi. My name is Captain Steve Rogers. I wanted to introduce myself to everyone. Where I come from, protecting people was very important to me. It still is. This ship is dangerous and I think we're getting side-tracked from an important conversation here.

I don't think we should worry too much about that roster file we were sent, but it's not a bad idea to have some sort of security team that can respond to a crisis and keep track of everything we have figured out about this place so far. I'd like to help with any effort like that, but it might be best if we wait before assigning rank to anyone. Fighting over who's the boss or throwing baseless orders around isn't going to help anyone or keep them safe. Our priorities should be safety and finding a way to leave.

It's been suggested to me that some of the things that have been happening to us could be some sort of security response from the ship. Does anyone with a better understanding of computers want to weigh in on that? Can anyone try to access those systems? There's still a lot of the station that we can't access and I know some of us have been trying to work on that.

Finally, if there's anything else I can help with, please reach out to me.

I think people have misunderstood what I want to do. I don't want anyone to have power over the rest of us. This would be for dealing with outside threats and organizing information that would be available to everyone. Anyone who wanted to help would be welcome.

[ Oh, another person who actually knows who he is. Steve kind of hates that he's starting to find that comforting, but it's a lot easier than trying to convince total strangers to trust him and work together who haven't come from what he thinks is their shared world. ]

I haven't seen most of them in action yet, but we seem to have at least a handful of people who have some level of skill and experience working in a group like this and at least two people who I've worked with and trust.

A handful, out of however many dozens of us. Better than nothing, I suppose.

That's just who I'm aware of. I'm sure there are some people who don't trust the rest of us yet and I hope they'll work with us in time.

[ Hopefully not too much time, because Steve doesn't plan to be here longer than necessary. ]

[ He can think of a few people in particular, but, ]

I would not hold my breath. We will just have to be enough.

[ Steve's answer takes a minute. ]

Is that a common name where you're from? I knew someone named Pietro.

[supersonic]

In a number of countries outside the United States, yes, as a matter of fact it is.

[ But if Captain America knows his name, he's reasonably certain "international terrorist" is the context the other man is looking for. Not the sort of person he'll want to train with after all. Better to be out with it now. ]

Maximoff, is the rest. I was not joking about having been a threat. If that is a problem, I am perfectly capable of training on my own.

[unshielding]

[ Oh. Steve has to take a moment to compose his answer. The Pietro he remembers had died helping them. He can't imagine turning his back on him now. ]

Don't be ridiculous. Does Wanda know you're here?

[supersonic]

[ Pardon. ]

Of course. How do you know my sister?

[ u sound awfully familiar there pal. ]

She's my friend.

[ Which might not be the most descriptive way of putting it, but he's not about to advertise that he and Wanda are fugitives right now or that Bucky is wanted, too. Wanda is his teammate and his friend and he'll have her back. ]
