Greetings, this is YoRHa Unit 9S. Most of the people here I've met are humans, but I'm an android. The humans of my world have lived on the Moon since 5012 AD, when the aliens invaded, and we androids were created to reclaim the Earth from them.

...It's been a long time since then, though. Coming here was the first time I was able to even meet a real human! It's truly an honor to meet all of you.

[With that stuffy introduction out of the way, 9S' gains a little more character. Really, he sounds like a totally different person.]

Soooo... I saw the station roster. Isn't a lot of this stuff redundant? Uh, seriously, I don't know what half of these mean? Is there a difference between a medic, a doctor, and a surgeon?

Er, anyway. I'm good with computers, so I guess that means I should work in Computing & IT.

He'd been startled when he was poking the thing trying to figure out its purpose other than repeating that message -- his username is simply whatever buttons he'd pushed at the time -- when suddenly another voice started speaking. And it wasn't repeating. So... maybe there's another person on the other end? He doesn't understand most of what they said and he's not sure how to get in touch with whoever this is...

Maybe this is like a linkpearl? Gods know he struggles enough with those as it is. His voice is slightly uncertain when he speaks.]

Yup. We Scanners are the only YoRHa units with the innate ability to hack. We can also handle basic repairs, more if we have experience, but it's not something we're inlaid with like the R&D team.

I'd assume that a medic is a first responder, a doctor is someone you see regularly for check ups, and a surgeon performs actual surgery. But I'm not an expert.

Ren is the first person, human or otherwise, to actually give 9S an answer to his questions. He's also the first person to properly respond to YoRHa's catchphrase, and that acknowledgement fills 9S with a deep sense of duty and pride.]

Thank you, Sir. We do have a database, but I don't have access to it from this location, so I'm kind of out of luck. Still, with the limited amount of individual we have on board, I think we're going to require some multitasking.

He's pretty sure if Eriko was here she'd be over the moon. Naoya for his part mostly knew androids as video game fighter characters so this was both sad and extremely exciting to know.]

How old are you? Or wait...holy many years since you were you activated? Which one should I use? I'm just excited to speak to an android for the first time.

Since we androids are born fully matured, we usually go by roll-out date. At least as far as us YoRHa go. I've been active for almost three years now.
